On the extreme, As long as there is a rest day. Every other day. But preferably twice a week.

Depends. If you're a runner, running almost daily is okay. Starting out lifting, I would suggest once a week at most. First time you go hard, you find out why DOMS are so evil. Once you get going for a while, twice a week is a good amount. Just remember to always dedicate one day a week to rest.

My workout routine is in 4 day intervals. Day 1 is arms and abs, day 2 is chest and back, day 3 legs then rest for day 4. Which means sometimes I do legs twice a week.

I'm doing legs twice a week and trying to squeeze in a third day but really light weight and only like 3 sets on the third day followed by whatever workout on that day and was just wondering if I would be overtraining..

It will depend on your programming I would say. I do full body with leg/glute focus 4x per week, obviously I don't completely kill the legs and go super heavy each day or it would affect my next workout.

Depends on your goal and your program. Could be every day, could be once per week. If you are fairly new to lifting you may just want to find a program that fits your goals and follow it rather than making up your own.

I run, so everyday other than Sunday is (sorta) leg day for me. I am distance runner, so my calves and thighs are pretty much bomb proof at this point. I also do traditional "leg day" at the gym, but only once a week and it's pretty light to be honest.

You can't train the same muscles every day because you don't grow that way you would do more damage than good you actually get stronger outside the gym when you let the muscles heal

Actually you can... But your programming would have to reflect that. Glute training in particular can be done everyday, but you cant overdo it and your program would have to be carefully designed. I have done up to 6x per week of glute training.. I needed one day of rest at least!

Twice a week, with a rest day in between, depending on your goals! I'm building trunks
