Hi I'm just back on here after a few years. I'm just back from 2 amazing weeks in America. I ate so much and have gained a massive 15lbs. How much of this is real weight or just water weight and how long do u think it would take to lose . Thanks

About 2-3 times longer than it took you to put it on2

Oh no.....4 to 6 weeks ☹️0

You flew, so figure 3-5 of it is "airplane weight", another couple is carbs and salt, the rest is you.
I'd say: 2 weeks it you REALLY go for it diet wise.1 -
I would be happy with that0

None of us can tell you how much of that is "real weight". Drink lots of water eat 500 calories less then you need and you will start losing.3

Thank u0

A substantial part will be waterweight. For me, losing flying water takes about 7-9 days - and then I run to the toilet a lot I find flying waterweight to be more 'sticky' than eating a bit more sodium, tom, or other issues.1

Interesting. My airplane weight is usually gone in 2-3 days.0 -

No idea why it sticks so long with me. Lets just add some Wooo and say the lower pressure at altitude lets lots of water into the cells, and landing increases the pressure inside the cells and locks in the water (no, I'm not serious).1 -
I am just back from a beach vacation where I ate non-stop. I cringe when I think of how much I gained, but it was my vacation so I'm not going to sweat it. I'm just back on here logging my food and getting back into good habits. Don't stress about it. Just factor in that there will be weeks and weekends like that when you will probably eat more than you should. All you can do is keep your eye on the long-term prize.0

Just don't do some freak-out ultra-aggressive deficit to lose it at hyper-speed. That's as bad for your health and stressful for your body under these circumstances as it ever was. Reasonable deficit, and patience, for the win!2
