Ugh! My kids don't start school until next week and they are driving me CRAZY!!!! So obviously when I had two seconds alone without them, I ate over 1000 calories of Graham crackers. Not sure where to go from here... I guess low carb the rest of the day? Sigh....

Just want to mention that it didn't seem like over 1000 calories at the time... only realized when I went to track in MFP2
-
Log it and move on. Don't chase it.36

In the words of Darth Vader in that one Robot Chicken sketch: "let it go...."
Any setback is merely something to learn from and move on from. Nothing more.19 -
A low carb might be part of the problem. I allow myself a treat every single day. I log it, and I'm accountable. Elimination diets tend to backfire for me.
You might try those individual Teddy Graham packs.......7 -
Log it, learn from it (even if it's just how many calories per cracker!), forgive yourself and move on.15
-
I've done that before. I love graham crackers.7
-
Ah, yes...I do this occasionally. I just try to eat less throughout the rest of the day, but if I go over my calorie goal I'll cut the next couple of days by 250cal or so and add a mile or so to a run later in the week.3

What's done is done, just keep moving forward.2

What to do? Log it and Come up with a p!an for what you will do different next time! Maintenance is a series of adjustments.3

Start prepping food for tomorrow. Move on0

It'll be okay. If it were me, I'd eat a nice big salad with low calorie dressing for dinner and start anew tomorrow.3
-
You've already walked down the Graham Cracker walk of shame, its okay to log and move on!
..ps nice job on the 2 seconds alone you had with that box of graham crackers, it might have taken me 5.13 -

Plain? No nutella or anything?9
-
If it's feasible, maybe aim to eat at maintenance today and start fresh tomorrow. So if your weight loss goal is 1 lb/wk for example, going 500 Cal over for the day just gets you to maintenance.2
-
Oh, man -- in my pre-Celiac days, I loved graham crackers! My parents would only let us have one a day, though. I'm a little envious right now.
On topic: what everyone else said. It happened. Move on. At least it was something tasty.4 -
I'm just surprised you didn't put peanut butter on them. Plain graham crackers? You freak.8
-
It's a lesson learned and time to move forward. You will know better the next time.0

It happens. Try and figure out if there was a particular trigger: were you stressed? Was it because they just were there? Were you hungry and didn't want to take the time to fix a meal? If you can figure out where your mind was at at the time, perhaps you can take steps to not do it again.
If it was just a matter of mindless eating, remember to weigh out foods first. You you want a graham cracker or two? Weigh them out, log them so you know what you are eating, and enjoy.
Regarding the day, OK, so you wiped out a couple of days deficit. Log it and move on. 1000 calories is only going to break the weight loss routine if you do not move on from it and get back in the groove. I don't try to make up for it because that seems to start a binge-restriction cycle. I DO try to be as accurate in my logging for a couple of days and try to drink a bit more fluids, especially if I overate on carbs.2 -
Give me a mug of almond milk and a box of graham crackers and it's goin' down! The obsession is even worse for me with animal crackers. Stay strong sister @Raegold.6

High five on the graham cracker blowout! That's awesome!
On the bright side, at least you didn't slather them in Nutella, or nestle them lovingly around a piece of chocolate and marshmallow hot off the fire. I just discovered s'mores using chocolate graham crackers this summer. Mmmm, graham crackers are the best.
Since your kids are driving you nuts, this would be a great excuse to get them out to the park and do some running around with them for the week, or take them hiking, swimming, or on a long bike ride. Get in a few games of tag and you will make up for the crackers while delighting and wearing down your unruly rascals.4 -
Eh I had a blowout on breakfast biscuits on Saturday night. Decided to take the whole box of individual 4 biscuit packets in so as not to wake my boyfriend who sleeps in the kitchen/living room when he stays. And yeah. I got through 5 of those packets which was about 1100 calories. I did cycle the next day for a few hours fortunately but yeah. Not a common occurrence for me these days. It might be because I had built up quite a big deficit the previous 6 days. Can't deny that mini binge got me a few easier bike rides in. Made a huge difference lol.

You need to balance out your S'more levels, so eat an equivalent amount of marshmallows and chocolate.
Following this advice will surely lead to personal excellence and campfire glory.17 -
This thread is making me smile (thank you! ) but also making me hungry! I think I'd kill for a graham cracker about now!4

My coworker made "slutty brownies" for everyone the other day I know that feels. But according to this: mayoclinic.org/healthy-lifestyle/weight-loss/in-depth/calories/art-20048065
it will take roughly 3500 calories to equal a pound. Worst case: you'll have a minor bump on your tracker, but just pick up tomorrow and it'll be fine0
