Hi- just joined today. My boyfriend asked me to marry him and so now it is crunch time before the wedding. (Hehee no date yet; still deciding).
Any other brides to be out there. What are you doing to loose the weight?

  • HI, not getting married, but just had our 25TH anniversary last summer, and still I'm dieting. I guess I'm a slow learner. And BTW, CONGRATS!! Julie

    LOTS of fruits and veggies and 4-5 days a week of cardio..(45-60 mintues) I hope it works! (and no junk food...*sigh...*)

  • Hi! I am getting married this year...June 5th. I just got a 3 month membership to a local gym..but with work being so busy, I have only gone about 5 times so far. My goal is to lose between 15-20 pounds. So, I have been drinking a lot of water, eating a lot of fish, chicken, fruits and veggies and trying to work out 4-5 times per week. (this week hasn't been great though, because I have been working crazy hours!!! ) But next week, I am just forcing myself to go! Another good idea that i have been doing is not eating anything after 7:00 p.m. AND eating breakfast every morning....a bowl of Total cereal with skim milk and a piece of fruit. It really helps to eat breakfast because then you are not starving at lunchtime and end up eating junk. (So, far, I have lost 6 pounds...in about 2 weeks) so that's not too bad, but I have a long way to go.

    Good Luck to all the Brides to be!!! Just STAY MOTIVATED!!!! Imagine yourself walking down the aisle.....you want to look great! We can do it!!!

    I am getting married in May 2010 and am already getting in shape. I am hoping to lose 15-20 more pounds before the wedding. I just joined a gym to get myself in shape.

    Hey, I am getting married in about a month........but not trying to lose for the wedding..He loves me anyways I am. But I AM planning to lose for our family reception which will be this summer.

    We are eloping, just real close friends, likely in Nevada where it is snowy, slushy and all about the winter clothes. Then we will stand before family and friends this summer in a small ceremony for which I will be thinner.

    I am just sticking to my calories, drinking tons of water, getting alot of fruits and veggies in exercising when I can....

  • Thanks for the motivation and well wishes everyone. I am sending my best to all of you as well.
    I just joined a challenge on one of the other posts to do 300 crunches a day. I counter challenged with 90 push ups ( to be done as well as the crunches). I just started eating just fruit and veggies today, well I had a rice cake w/ low sodium lean deli chicken today but I am starving I am not even 24 hours in and feel weak. heeeheee
