IF and Keto

Hey everyone, I was wondering if anyone have had any success while using intermittent fasting, while on a Keto diet?

What sort of success are you wanting to know about?

I naturally have an IF schedule, because it suits my lifestyle, schedule and preferences for eating bigger meals later in the day. I've eaten this way during periods of losing, maintaining and gaining. It works for me when losing as I find I get more hungry throughout the day if I eat first thing.

My goal is to drop 30lbs and I've been having some success with a Keto diet but I've read that doing both, will make it easier to drop fat.

If doing both makes it easier for you to stay within your calorie goal for weight loss then it may be easier for for you to see results. Neither keto or IF have special properties.

I am not on Keto, but I love IF. I don't know if helps scientifically with weight loss but mentally it's great, at least for me. I eat during an eight hour window (12pm to 8pm) and fast for sixteen hours (8pm to 12pm). Since starting IF, I've been drinking more water, feeling less bloated, and more disciplined with food (no more late night snacking). I suggested IF to someone on Keto and he hated it, but he only tried it for a week. I admit the first week is hard. Your body has to adjust, mentally and physically, to a new eating routine. I would recommend trying it out for at least a month.

I haven't done Keto, but did IF for a while. The problem for me is getting in the calories. I would eat at 12, lunch around 4. Then, I wasn't hungry to eat my last meat. This wasn't healthy. So I've switch to eating earlier. However, I really didn't mind eating 2 meals a day, just couldn't eat the calories I was suppose to have. I did lose weight.
