I messed up my diet again. And I'm the worst on myself for it. Been going strong for almost 28 days straight, workouts andblogging and diet. Then I knew my first goal was to look good for the Mayweather party.. and I did!! Felt great! Worked hard for it!!
So what did I do? Drink drink drink. Eat eat and eat more. Partied bcu I felt good and my first real weight loss goal was a total success. But I celebrated with bad habits..
I feel like I screwed up everything. Went on a four day straight bender. Now everything is hard again. Anyone else relate?? Any suggestions on coping? I feel so bad. And mad. And now I don't feel motivated. What happened?!

You've taken the first step in the right direction... You've taken ownership for what you did. You know you can get back on the right track because you've already done it before! Jump right back in & don't forget to forgive yourself!! It happens! ((Hugs))

Log everything. You're being honest here which is the right thing to do for yourself.

You probably went off track because you're being too restrictive. Restricting too much makes many people feel deprived, which can lead to binges.

Think of this as a lifestyle change, not a diet. Ask yourself if you can eat these foods the rest of your life. Look at restricting calories and portion control, not food type (except for trigger food). Allow yourself treats in a limited way on a regular basis.

You screwed up. Well, congratulation, You are human. We all screw up from time to time, everyone does.
Just accept that you had a bad day and move on. It might take an extra day or two to reach your goals, but as long as you keep going, you will get there. Don't let one bad day ruin all the progress you've already made by quitting.

It happens and it's no biggie. Just need to get back at it simple as at. So what if you need to take one or two weeks to get back from where you left out. As long as you are back at it, you can set everything straight again.

You can't mess up your diet. Your diet is what you eat. If you mean that you couldn't stick to the diet you're on, then don't go on a diet. Diets are designed to fail you. We can do anything for a short while. Then something happens, and we can't anymore.

If your goal is perfection, even the tiniest slipup will mean total failure.

You don't need motivation or coping strategies. Guilt and self-hate for eating food you like has no place in a healthy mind. Educate yourself. Eating and enjoying life is about balance. Habits is what you do consistently over time, not single days or weeks here and there. Some days we eat some foods, and a little more, then other days we eat something completely different, and maybe a little less. That's life. Tolerating that life happens is in itself a life skill.
