Late night eating.

I work second shift. So that means I eat breakfast around 10 am, lunch around 4 pm and my dinner about 10pm. While this is okay for my schedule I'm up several hours after my dinner and struggle with having to make myself not eat the fridge so to speak. Anybody else deal with this and maybe have some tips or ideas on how to curb this?

I'm a late eater as well, I get up at 6.30am my breakfast is at around 1pm, lunch around 3pm, then dinner around 8pm, then I save calories for snacks up until 11pm when I go to bed.

Maybe budgeting some calories for that time in your day could be something to try. I have a daughter with a medical issue that requires me to be up in the middle of the night.....I always leave some calories just for that because I know I tend to snack during that time.

I get home from work between 11:30 and midnight. For some reason, I crave sweets before bed. I just budget a few extra calories for some cinnamon bears (my weakness) or the like. I'm only a week into re-starting, but I'm losing so my late night sweets aren't detrimental so far.

assuming you are up for a couple of hours after you dinner before heading to bed - plan a pre-bed snack - I do a bowl of cereal, its the first thing that goes into my food diary most days

Thanks for the tips. So far I've been able to keep it under control. But advice and tips never hurt. Once again thank you
