Starting My One Year Challenge Today

In one week, I will be turning 49-years-old, and today I am starting a challenge (to myself) to lose weight and get in the best shape of my life by my 50th birthday. Until my late 30's/early 40's, I watched what I ate and exercised regularly. In recent years, however, I put on over 50 pounds and stopped working out. So I am publicly declaring my commitment, and I will keep you posted on my progress.

    If you make sure you log all that you eat and find a few moments to read some of the inspiring posts and success stories on MFP then in no time you will be shedding that extra and without as much torture as winging it by yourself. :)

    I just started my weight loss and fitness quest yesterday. What a great idea to reward yourself with things that you love as you reach your intermediate goals. I think I will try that too!
