i just started to come out of a 2 month plateau, and surprisingly, eating more+adding a cheat day+working out less intensely is what made me start losing again (though i've only lost ~2lbs in two weeks, it's better than the 5lbs i gained over those 2 months)

do you zig zag your cal? That is how I got out of my plateau. I had increased my cal NET for a week and then brought it back down but only part way from where I was.
    Good luck!

There are a lot of things you can try but I don't think any contain promises but here are my suggestions:

    detox/cleanse

    rest week from exercise

shuffle your caloric intake so that the weekly intake meets your goals
    (i.e. M:1200, Tu:1400, W:1200, Th:1600, F:1200, S:1400, Su:1200)

make sure you are correctly logging!!

    good luck :)

i got to a similar position. i started working out in January. and lost weight every month until June, and then stalled. But for me, it's winter here and i'm not eating as well as I should be. snacking too much.

i've kept up with my exercise strictly, but he food is harder.

are you really good with your calories? if so, have a couple of days with a spike in calories to mix up your metabolism, and do some exercise that you never do to shake your body up.

if you aren't perfect with your calories, have a couple of detox days where you eat slightly less calories (a couple of hundred) than you used to, and again, do some exercise that you never do.

It could be MANY things. If you could elaborate on your exercise regiment and open your diary it would help.

You need to make sure your macros are correct along with eating a deficit under your maintenancw.

    Exercising harder isnt the answer.

Hi! So I've found that breaking plateaus are all about what works for YOUR body. Everyone will be able to give you really good tips, and all of them can potentially help.

My personal thing was that no matter how much exercise I do, I still need to eat between 1,200 and 1,400 calories a day in order to lose. I don't know why, but that's what my body tells me! Once I started doing this, my plateau broke. However, I would highly recommend checking inches. For two months I didn't drop anything and then in the past 2.5 weeks I've lost 6 pounds. Also, try and change up your exercise routine, I am doing the 30 day shred and it's helped loads. I never did strength training before so it's really forcing me to get a total body workout. I also switched to eating 98% clean for the most part. It's helped LOADS and I feel much better.

Best of luck - don't get discouraged! Keep trying new things to break the plateau, but also don't throw something out just because it hasn't worked for a few days.

Try a consistent 1300 and you may need more with that much of a burn on exercise days. Try to change your exercise routine, increase calories and protein. Water is good which is awesome.

You just have to stick to it, it will happen!

Your diary doesn't show sugar, fiber or sodium. From what I'm seeing I'd guess your fiber is very low and your sugar and sodium are very high. This would cause a plateau. At first when you start losing usually a calorie deficiency is enough. However, as your body adjusts it needs the macronutrients to be better aligned to lose.

Keep exercising both cardio and strength training. Eat a balanced diet that includes fruits, vegetables and lean protein.

    Good luck in your journey!

Add everything that you eat to your diary and watch sodium and do more and different exercises.
  • I know this sounds crazy, but adding more calories into your diet, and backing off the intensity of your workouts, for about a week, will jump start your metabolism into high gear and should push you through that ugly plateau. I'm a big fan of HIIT training, which can also pull you out of it.
