1.22-i asked my daughter to time me for 66 seconds but instead stopped me here! She said that she wanted to see how long i could do it! Im not even mad!
  • Oh I love that!!! I do a plank during my wii fit exercise regime but only 30 seconds and I could definitely do more.... but timing to see how long I can do seems like a great idea!!!

2 minutes. My ab class instructor is a slave driver.
  • A plank is a great isometric exercise designed to strengthen the core muscles. "To perform a plank, prop yourself up on your toes and forearms face down, drawing your belly button into your spine and keeping a straight body from your head down to your feet - there should be no bend or sag in your waist. Hold this plank position for 30 seconds to a minute, being mindful to keep breathing. Don't be alarmed if you begin to shake, it means it's working!"

    plank challenge? sounds fun.
  • If you want to add to it alternate bending each knee in and the raising the bent leg up above your butt.

click on the search button and type in Plank day __ (whichever day it is) That's how I found it just now.

Ok, I can manage that. I've not been in a challenge before, and assumed we'd be continuing the same post

    1 minute 20 seconds. :)

Just think about it... at the end of August... we'll be at over 30 minutes of plank. My core will thank you for this challenge!!!

Everytime I hit 90 secs I'm switching to a harder plank. 30 mins of lying about would be silly

Join in anytime, just post your time. If more peeps say you would rather have it by all on one post, I can do that. Just let me know.

I would suggest just one ongoing post. That way people can bookmark it. AND... then we don't have to wait for you to start a new post the next day. We can just come to the samd entry and log our time.
