Bloated or gained weight?

Hello everyone! Seems that I've finally found a place where I can ask weight loss questions! So, last week my brother went off to college and I went over board and ate EVERYTHING. And I mean everything. For more than one day. I would wake up every morning with good intentions, ate healthy for breakfast and lunch, and got in a good hour/hour and a half work out (depending on the day) before I went to work. Now that my brother's gone I've noticed that I've gained 10lbs and have this awful bloating feeling that won't go away. (I normally only eat about 900-1200 calories a day and 20-30 grams of carbs a day. And I work out everyday for an hour. Sometimes more) My waist band has even increased by 1 1/2 inches!! I couldn't fit in my dress pants but I can still fit in my jeans. (My dress pants were freshly out of the dryer. Idk if they shrink or not) not only do I feel disgusting but I'm starting to look it too. My lower stomach was always pudgier than my upper stomach, my upper half use to be very small compared to my lower half. (I'm a pear shape) but now it seems that I have lost what little figure I had. My upper stomach looks almost bloated, feels super tight, and it almost feels to tight to even suck in. I'm starting to look like an apple. I don't have the curve to my waist that I use too, it's all just ROUND. It seemed to have happened in matter of days too. It felt like I woke up one morning and no longer had a curvy shape. Moral of the story is have I really gained 10lbs? Is this uncomfortable feeling in my upper stomach bloating, constipation, or gas? And will it go away? And lastly if it really is 10lbs, is it all fat? Have I undone everything I worked hard for?

10 pounds of fat? Doubtful. You would've had to eat 35,000 calories above maintenance for that to happen. A lot is likely water weight because of the increases in calories/carbs.
What are your stats? You shouldn't be eating below 1200 calories anyway, and likely would be better off eating more.4 -
Almost sounds like gas to me. I would try an anti-gas remedy. Are you drinking a lot of carbonated drinks, chewing gum, drinking through a straw, smoking? Those are gas causing things. Even vegetables like cauliflower and broccoli can cause gas issues.1

I don't think it's possible to gain 10lb of fat in that short of time span. My guess is it's mostly water retention from sodium intake/other "unhealthy" foods.. maybe a little actual fat gained, but not all of it. I know I always feel bloated and gross after a few days of not keeping track of everything. It usually takes 2-3 days of back to my normal habits and LOTS of water drinking to feel better and see the scale move down.1
