I am so disappointed

What a day! I thought that I was prepared having a hot oatbran breakfast, well armed with water when I left. Got to the meeting and all that was prepared was Pillsbury Valenties cookies. These things attacked me as soon as I entered the room and 12 cookies, and 3 hours later, I left the room. I am so disappointed in myself. I thought that I was prepared for anything. Tomorrow is another day and I know it has got to be better.

  • Don't be silly, 12 cookies is not the end of the world, and treat yourself to some heart healthy oatbran for dinner instead.

That is a great idea. Sometimes life just gets in the way.
  • Don't feel bad. I have done the same thing this week. My husband and I have been trying to watch what we eat and have been going to the gym every day for about 1 month now. I go into work yesterday and there was cake and brownies for a lady who had a birthday. Needless to say- they set it all right next to me and I ended up having two pieces of each by the time the days was over...
We are all going to splurge once in a while but then it is over and done with...so don't worry about it too much...I am sure you are still doing AWESOME!!!

I hear you! The other night Ice Cream was just SCREAMING at me! Thank God I had stocked the freezer with sugar free and I only had 1/2 cup. Certain times of the day are worse for me and I just started on the 26th of January!

I can say tho that I feel better , I may of only gone down 2 lbs but I sure feels like more.
It took probably the last 5 years of bad eating habits to put this extra 20 lbs on so I guess it will take time to get them off.

I so enjoy reading everyones comments!

Gosh honey, I know what that feels like but I have to tell you, this is no big deal, really. I mean if you and I did that several days in a row eventually we would end up a lb heavier. Someone said it takes 3500 calories to make a pound of fat. I know you are discouraged at yourself. And you are right about tomorrow is a new day. I don't think it's even about piggin a few cookies anymore. It's what we do the biggest percentage of our time with food. I think because we have fat now(too much)we think we have to be "perfect" to get back in shape. NO ONE is perfect nor can they be, ever! So we eat nutritious foods and drink lots of water and have healthy snacks, all in our cupboards and fridges. That's our regular eating habits now. So when we want to eat pizza or cookies or candy once in awhile, we can. It's when we trade in our good eating habits we've learned here, and go back to being junkfood junkies, then we can start to be concerned. I ate like a pig with m&m's, fudge, pie, cake, cookies at Christmas. I had lost just a couple lbs at that time. I was beating heck outa myself for piggin. I didn't gain one lb. I said "ick" after I ate all that but I went right back to my good habits as soon as I was home:wink: You hang in there:wink: denise in OR:drinker: :drinker: :drinker:
PS Some of your being "down" is probably that food doesn't make you "feel" good either. Drink lots of water tonight k?? That will help clean your system out:drinker: :drinker: :drinker:

Thanks. I only hear that 2 or 3 times a day... so it is very special. Ha ha! I'm just happy to help.

I know how that feels too. AT least once a week I binge! But I have lost 10 pounds still in 10 weeks. (I still have at least 20-30 to go) and it is always depressing to check the BMI and find I am still 15 pounds away from the higher end of the "healthy" scale!
