New to this - looking for friends

Hi, I'm fairly new to MFP and would like to lose around 20lb. I was hoping to make some friend within the community in order to inspire each other and keep the momentum going.

So, what is your game plan Katrina? It looks like you want to lose about 17 pounds according to your profile. I have at least ten to lose. I am kick starting this attempt by fasting today and then maybe tomorrow morning I will write out a meal plan for the day that is 1200 calories and try to keep my "eating window" between 12 and 6 pm. It will be Saturday tomorrow in New Zealand where I live, so I will stay active all day, walk my dogs, ride one of my horses, work in the garden, clean the stall and paddocks. Work towards some of my other goals. I set my alarm and get up at 5am every day...but of course, it means I go to bed early too.That's what works best for me right now. I did good at keeping my appetite in control today and I am giving myself a reward of a glass of red wine tonight, which will also help me sleep. LOL. I am BIG on rewards, little and often. I reward myself for every pound I lose and I weigh myself every morning. This sounds obsessive. LOL

Hi Wendy, lovely to hear from you! I wouldn't say I have a plan as such. Eat less and move more is the vague idea lol. It sounds like you have a very active and fulfilling life! I'm looking to lose around 20lb, but again, this is vague, I'd like to start losing and then gauge what feels right for me. I have quite a lot of clothes I can't fit into anymore so to be able to fit into at least some I ghose would be great! All the best with your efforts0
