What do you guys do after your work out? Do you guys have a snack (like what is your go to snack after) or are you doing a protein shake?

I usually have my lunch because that's just how it works out for me. You don't have to have protein immediately after eating. Meal timing isn't as big of a deal as many companies try to make it. Do what works for you.2

If you're lifting, you should get protein soon after.1

If she's getting adequate protein during the day how does eating protein soon after do anything extra? We don't digest food immediately and lifting recovery happens over several days. Meal timing is something that might give a competitive bodybuilder an edge or help keep someone from over eating later, but for the average Joe there's no real need to get protein in shortly after lifting.4 -
I just have my next meal which is usually lunch.1

Both depending on my workout. Sometimes I'm just famished and have a protien shake while making myself a meal.1

I like something light and protein oriented - a hard boiled egg, yogurt, maybe a smoothie if I feel like getting things dirty. Also, as much as I love fruit - not after a workout. It just makes me hungrier!1

I lost 80 lbs and went from couch to 42.2 km without ever having consumed a protein shake.1
