I spent the better part of a day researching these things, my nutritionist says I need to increase my protein and should use 1 a day, but after all the reading, I am less than enthusiastic. I would like one with at least 40g of protein, low calorie, as natural as possible and gluten free. Willing to take any/all suggestions.

I would go to a nutrition store like gnc or the like. They are super helpful. Once you have a general idea of what you would like. Biggest things to look for are plant vs whey what would you prefer, minimal fillers and added sugars, then look at flavor and what you plan on putting it in or mixing it with. I use almond milk for a quick easy solution. So I usually side with a chocolate or flavored on but if you put it in smoothies then you might prefer plain vanilla. Then you also want to decide whether you want creatine or not. Women don't usually care but for men creatine might be more desireable.

I'm a fan of the Pro Jym line of protein shakes. Unlike most others they're a mix of different kinds of proteins, rather than a single shot of the same. They're also super tasty. The mint chocolate chip and red velvet cake are both winners.

I love Core Power...but it's not going to get you to 40g in one bottle without an added scoop of whey isolate or other powder of choice.

Natural is just something fancy on the label that means more expensive.

I drink Isotech42 sold by the Vitamin Shoppe. 42g of whey protein in only 190 cals for about $3/bottle. I buy it by the case of 12.

Currently on sale for the equivalent of about $2.25 - buy 1, get 2nd for 50%. Not cheap but most protein for fewest cals available in a premade protein drink.
