Hi I am new to this and wonder if someone could answer my question. I want to use a Maggi casserole mix. Does the calorie count on the front include the meat you have used in it or do I have to add that to my meal diary? Thank you

Not familiar with this product, would suggest contacting the company and asking. However, I would think that it would not include the meat so you would have to add the meat of your choice to your diary.

Better yet why not just leave the meat out

    Hi Jeanette.
If it is a sachet base and you add fresh meat or other fresh ingredients to make up the casserole, then you need to scan in your sachet, then also add on top of that, all the fresh ingredients, including the meat as well.

These sachets are always convenient, but high in sodium and calories.
Perhaps researching a simple casserole recipe with a tomato base that you can put in the slow cooker or pressure cooker, may be a healthier alternative.
  • Thank you all for your comments. I try to cook everything from scratch but saw this in the supermarket and thought I would give it a go. X
