New to my fitness pal

Hello everyone my name is Sabrina and I am 22 years old and have been heavy set ever since I can remember. I weigh about 240lbs and am 5'8" I would like to be about 155-160. I've been on many diets and had trouble sticking to these diets I have lost over 40lbs about 4 years ago and gained it all back again I want to be in better shape then i am now if anyone has, tips or anything to help me get where i want to be it would much appreciated :)
