So yesterday I did my first attempt at the Insanity DVD workout and well that thing kicked my *kitten*. No joke i was sweating more than any woman should ever admit to lol. Seeing how I am just now starting my exercise journey there were things that i wasnt strong enough to do, so i just modified it for myself. I just woke up about an hour ago and i am so SORE! lol its a good thing though, i actually enjoy the days that i am sore from the gym or workouts, to me that means that im doing what i need to. I am going to do my best at doing it today again, but i have a feeling i wont be giving as much of myself to it because i am sore from yesterday. I am really hoping this is the extra "umph" i need to accelerate my weight loss. I plan to do the insanity at the most once a day at minimum on saturdays and sundays when its hard to get a good workout at the gym because of their hours. Any others out there just starting the Insanity DVDs or maybe those who have already who have tips and tools of the trade? possibly even someone who wants to start but hasnt yet, well let me know . . Good Luck!!

I have been doing Insanity: The Asylum. Haven't tried Insanity because I wanted a shorter program (mine's only 30 days), although I'm on hold since I'm away at volleyball camp/tourney. For sure, though, my first day, it kicked my butt! After that, I could keep up with it a bit, better and better as time goes by. Just use your mental willpower to work out your way through! :D Good luck and don't give up! Stay in your skill level and when you feel you can't do a certain workout anymore, do one more! :) A full bottle of water, you will need. Take little breaks when you need, like two exhales then get back into it. Or what I do is to pause the dvd and take a breather(a min or two) if needed then continue with it.

I am starting week 3 tomorrow! The first week I was extremely sore and took a ton of breaks. This week, I still had to take breaks, but I am not sore. I am loving it though. I do sweat a lot. I am going to put a link below for an Insanity support thread. Feel free to join in!

I might have to keep in contact with you ppl. I'll be starting it soon too!
  • We did the first two weeks of Insanity in May and it was horrible. We were so sore everyday. And then I don't know something came up or something and we stopped. We just did the first two weeks again and it wasn't quite as bad. The first week we were really sore-we couldn't even ride our bikes, our thighs hurt too bad. But the second week we were a lot less sore. Insanity takes a lot out of you, you'll want to drink lots of water everyday and make sure you eat enough everyday, otherwise you will feel very sluggish.
  • I laughed when you mentioned sweating. We completed our first round of P90X in March. I remember the first time we did an Insanity workout, I told my bf, I think I sweated more during that workout then I did the entire time we did P90X.
