We don't have Dunkin where I am but we have Donut King which I think would be similar. My sons girlfriend works there and brings so many donuts home weekly ☹️. In 3 months I haven't had one, it's tough. Both my son and daughter work at KFC too

No Krispy Kreme near me, so Dunkin it is. But 7-11 makes a delicious Snickers brownie donut and key lime donut.

I don't think we have either where I live, but we have local donut shops just about every block.

Dunkin Donuts is definitely by far the best of the two. KK tastes like a hamburger bun with glaze on it...ick.

OMG, I would sell my soul for a key lime donut...

    Neither...Rebel Doughnuts...

That said, doughnuts aren't something I have too often...every once in awhile a get a craving, but they're not something I think to eat very often...

I was so excited when Krispy Kreme ended up near me, as I had heard such great things about their donuts. Then I tried them. Disappointed doesn't even begin to describe my feelings.

Neither. Long's Bakery here in Indy makes the best donuts.

The 711s by us just sell Krispy Kreme donuts. I'd definitely be interested in a key lime donut!

Donuts are one of my absolute favorites but I would always prefer the local places. Not because "buy local" necessarily but just because their donuts are a thousand times better than DD or KK.

For the sake of argument though, I'll say Dunkin just because I prefer their coffee and like their cruellers

This dyed-in-the-wool Yankee trapped in the Deep South says Dunkin' all the way despite the fact that we pass the lit Krispie Kreme "HOT" sign every time we go anywhere. I like my doughnuts toothsome. Anybody remember the original DD shape with the little knob on the side for holding it while you dunk?

Krispy Kreme for their traditional, although I prefer Dunkin's glazed cake donuts. Both have been my downfall a couple of times since starting this process.

Krispy Kreme, original glazed fresh off the conveyor. *drools*

Sadly I'm in the UK where both KK and DD usually come out of a glass fronted cabinet in a supermarket, and not hot from anywhere. (There are a couple of "proper" KKs around London, but unhelpfully far from my work!)

If it's going to be pimped with sprinkles etc, cream/kreme/goo then basically any brand of doughnut will do.
Or in fact anything made with doughnut batter - funnel cake, churros, nom nom nom...

Dunkin is trash. Krispy Kreme is wonderful but if you're really into doughnuts (like I am) I'd suggest looking for smaller specialty shops. Here in NYC we have Doughnut Plant and Dough that are more mainstream but amazing.

I haven't had either in many years but when Krispy Kreme opened near me, I felt the same way before and after. It didn't stay open very long.

Krispie Kreme... Whenever I go past the KK display at the grocery store I cry a little bit inside...

KK FTW! Especially when that Hot & Fresh sign flashes. The drive thru becomes a parking lot.

I do love me some munchkins though.

    Neither. Tim Horton's donuts.

bwahaha.. I figured someone from my region had to chime in eventually.

I'm Canadian but hate Tim's. There's nothing special about their food or drinks.

We don't have a KK around, but I legit pass 5 Dunkin Donuts on my way to work. Not really a fan.

I grew up with KK but I moved into DD land. I'd take KK over DD just for the nostalgia factor and I think DD has pretty blah donuts.

We have a donut truck- Beaver's- and they make these little mini donuts. Yummy and portion controlled.

KK when they are "hot off the press," but what I REALLY love and would throw down against any doughnut anywhere are known in these here parts as "Amish Crack": a yeast doughnut dipped in some sort of caramel glaze and coated in powdered cinnamon sugar. They are of the devil. (Even though they are hand-made by the sweetest, most innocent Amish girls...who are doing the work of Satan himself).
  • When I first moved out on my own, DD actually cared about donuts. That first weekend I was starving at 3 in the morning. I left my place, drove to Dunkin' Donuts and grabbed myself a dozen donuts so fresh some of them were still warm when I got home. I've been in love ever since despite the fact they no longer make my favorite donut much less half of what they used to. It's a comfort thing for me.
