44-year-old female
This is my first round...
Sw- 141 lbs
This round goal - 130's
UGW- 120 lbs
8/31 - ugh ! 143. Lbs - why?? Why did I gain? I'm going through a bad flare with my Hashimoto's. Makes my joints hurt terribly. But been measuring everythingI eat and everything is non-gluten and organic. I have increased my water intake and get my exercise in. Boo hoo!
9/01- 141.6 lbs - did no exercise at all yesterday as I somehow hurt my back. Can't even take a big breath.
9/02 - 141.6. Hubby and I went to dinner and a movie last night. I ate 1800 kcal yesterday, didn't get my steps in and didn't work out due to my back injury. Back is doing better today, so I'm going to take the dog on a nice walk and start my day off right! Morning ya'll!
9/03 - 141.6. Omg! How can I have three days of the exact same weight?? Got my steps in, my water in, and, light weights for back as it's recovering from an injury. Walked the dog for 30 minutes through our hilly neighborhood. Ran 20 minutes on the treadmill. Then I crazy-danced for a bout 10 minutes because I didn't want to stop moving because I LOVE early 90's dance music. Then abs and back workout.
Downfall is the actual hunger I've been feeling. Not cravings, actual hunger pangs and growling. It is very difficult to ignore. We ate dinner early yesterday 4PM, because I was hangry! It was BBQ ribs and veggies. It satiated me for about 2 hrs but then I was getting the hunger pangs again. I ended up going to a new local restaurant and ordered a small molten lava cake (of course they had no idea of the nutritional value except that was gluten-free. So I just did some searches and went with what looked like middle of the road for kcal. Then I went home and had some gluten-free, organic corn chips with salsa. I ate very healthy first 3/4 of th day though.
9/4 - 142.4! Ok, I'm trying not to be upset. This is where I think weighing every day can be harmful. I feel like I did everything so great yesterday, yet I gained .8 oz. I measured and tracked everything single morsel/drop that I ate/drank. I ate just over 1300 kcal. I worked out very hard yesterday, I am pleasantly sore in just about every muscle of my body. I really felt like I had a near perfect day. When I saved my diary, it actually said if I kept up a day like yesterday, I'd be down to 131-something in 5 weeks.
Now, we did eat dinner late last night. About 8:30 pm as we were at church late. I did get up earlier than I normally would today and weighed as I need to take a longish nap today because I work a 12-hr shift tonight starting at 7p.
As I said, I'm trying not to be upset because otherwise I feel good this morning and am proud of my eating and workout accomplishments.
Ok, eta. Just looked at my diary and I did consume too much sodium yesterday. Probably not where I should be with my protein either. I will try to improve this today
Also I really didn't have any hunger issues yesterday.
9/5- 141.2 lbs. weighed really late because I worked last night and slept today until 6pm. Just about 8pm now and about ready to go back to bed. Lol, last night is taking me a bit to recover from. Too many mommies wanting to go into labor on Labor Day.9 -

Burnt stir fry this morning so I'll have to buy lunch today. AND it's food market day. Will see how it goes. I actually dropped 1.7 lbs between Round 3 and Round 14. Maybe I'll set -1.7 as my goal for this round... slow and steady. WAVES to all who check in today.

Ultimate goal - 135 & more muscle
Weight 2/21/15 - 218.2
Goal for #15 (my first round) - 150
Goal for 2018 - 135
8/31 - 151.8
9/1 - 151 Got my walk and stretching in.
9/2 - 150.8
Forest fires in the mountains have laid a thick blanket of smoke over us, and the temp is going to the high 90s-100 today through Tues., so I won't be walking outdoors. Stretching & weights, and maybe some jumping jacks.
9/3 - 150.8
Went out to eat yesterday, so I'm not surprised - just happy I didn't gain water weight. The smoke is terrible today, so no outdoor acidity, and I don't plan to do anything other than stretching indoors - we don't have ac and can smell smoke even with the windows closed.
9/4 - 151
Who knows?
9/5 - 152.2
This isn't fat - I went on a bit of a binge last night, so more sodium (and food) than usual. I'll not binge today :-)

8/31 166.8 Happy to be back in the challenge after being away for a week. Business trip to NYC and I lost a pound! I will attribute that to less alcohol, more water, and a LOT of walking!
9/01 168.1 Pretty sure I know what this is from. I want to say TOM, but not sure when that's happening due to hormones and heat waves in my body... ugh. I am hot, I am irritable, there is a heat wave coming this weekend... Yesterday I ate too much, did not track, and did not do any planned exercise. I did get my water in, though, and am drinking it like crazy today. It's a new day and so far, so good.
9/02 168.1 Went running on the treadmill this morning after a restless night of sleep. Went out to the coast to beat the heat! Avoided a lot of sweets from here to the beach and back. Stuck with my lemonade water (I have the little 5 calorie packets of Crystal Light lemonade water enhancers for when I am not motivated to drink my water and tempted to drink sweet icy things like Starbucks iced caramel macchiattos).
9/03 166.8
9/04 166.1 It was very hot here yesterday. Drank a lot of water just to avoid the headaches. I am up to 25 minutes of running at a time on the treadmill now. Still tracking. So grateful for a day off of work today!
9/05 167.7 I took the day off yesterday and relaxed with the family. Which meant no exercise and some what I know were high sodium treats.

I see a lot of people upset by apparent weight gain when they have been working their butts off. Body weight can fluctuate from one day to the next depending on so many factors. From my experience:
- Changes often take several days to show on the scale.
- A drop is often followed by a bounce up before it settles back down. A general downward trend is the aim.
- A high sodium day usually results in water retention, unless you drink extra fluids to flush it out.
You are making positive lifestyle changes which will lead to increased health and fitness.
Slow and steady leads to sustainable weight loss.
But remember to live a little along the way!

30/8/2017: 163 A week's holiday last round put me up a bit again, but have already lost 2/3 of it.31/9/2017: 162 Yes!!! Goals ✅ Another one bites the dust. Overdid the sodium yesterday, but drank extra water to flush it out.4/9/2017: 163.4 Goals ✅ Small drop. Back on track. Just a couple of slack days have consequences.
1/9/2017: 156.6 or 164.2 I got both readings this morning, and a whole lot in between. Scale is being temperamental. I moved it all over the joint, changed the batteries, still going haywire. Goals ✅ Did a lot of sitting at the computer, may not have hydrated enough. Let's see what tomorrow brings. Technology can be annoying!
2/9/2017: 162.2 Phew! Scale has settled down again! Goals ✅ Had a good workout 1st thing. Lots of water. Sticking to my goals and daily plan.
2/9/2017: 163.8 I was expecting that. Goals ✅ apart from a minor blowout on chocolate after dinner. Drank lots of water early in the day, but forgot to combat the sodium in lunch/dinner later in the day. Live and Learn!
5/9/2017: 162.6 Goals ✅ Much better. Still working on losing holiday baggage from end of August.
6/9/2017: 161 Goals ✅ I have finally lost the holiday baggage from the summer months. Time to batten down the hatches and go for my ultimate goal.

Second round for me. This round will be a challenge itself as before my period I have irrational cravings. If I get through them without gaining weight then it will be already a complete challenge!
R14: start 61.3, end 60.9, average, 61.0 (-0.4kg)
R15: goal 60.5 kg (New Goal 9/04: get under 61 kg)
Ultimate goal: 57 kg
8/31 61.0 - cravings started yesterday evening. I I went out to meet some dear friends, ordered salad and water, but still felt hungry after that. Then ordered nachos (boo)! Thankfully that the scale showed only +0.1kg . Hope I can start running soon, as I am healed from last week's cold.
9/01 61.1 - chaotic day, had a lot of stuff to do. I ate when I could, and what I could find.
9/02 61.2 - chaotic day #2. Felt very tired and ice cream was my friend in need.
9/03 61.5 - Darn, last night I ate out, a little bit too much bread, but my oh my it was goood! The kind of food that is worth the extra weight and 10km it needs to loose the wieght.
9/04 61.4 - NEW goal for this round: get under 61. I am still happy to be in the 61s as 66 was my fiend for a while.
9/05 60.7 - HOW DID THIS HAPPEN? Glad it did, though Ate some cake yesterday, and french fries, so -0.7 kg it's a miracle..
9/06 60.7 - held yesterday's weight. 50minutes of swimming, 2km running (came up after 2 weeks break when I was sick, and could not run more).

Main target this round (and most likely the next round) is to lose the weight I gained over the holidays...
8/31: 65.9kg - same as yesterday
9/01: 65.5kg - in a good flow, accurate logging and firmly back in the (spinning) saddle
9/02: 65.3kg - can't wait to see the back of 65kg again
9/03: 64.8kg - wow, super happy with this, looks like I'm dropping it as quick as I put it on
9/04: 64.7kg - struggled yesterday, but determined to keep this up
9/05: 64.7kg - same as yesterday, which is fine
9/06: 64.7kg - patience patience patience...

Day/Weight/Comment
8/31 - 73.9kg (162.9lbs)
9/01 - 73.9kg (162.9lbs) - Only did 60 min yoga yesterday and ate cake in the afternoon (work thing) so wasn't expecting a shift in weight. Don't think I went over my calories though (had to estimate the cake) - but I have my allowed intake set to just 100 kcal less than my TDEE (like I said - don't have that much to lose so taking things slow and trying not to eat back all my exercise calories instead).
9/02 - 73.9kg (162.9lbs) - Had Pizza Hut for dinner yesterday so wasn't expecting that!
9/03 - 73.7kg (~162.4lbs)
9/04 - ? - Woke up late and didn't have time to weigh myself, so since I usually do it the same time in the morning I'm skipping today.
9/05 - 73.7kg (~162.4lbs)
9/06 - 74.4kg (164lbs) - Had a thing at work yesterday, so not only did I have a three course dinner, I also had two glasses of wine. But oh well, hopefully it'll be gone again in a few days!

Goal for ground 15 159.0
8/31 - 161.9 - yesterday was hard and today will be too - back to school which means inservice - lots of sitting in one spot and feeling hungry to stay awake yet no motivation to work out when you get home. Hopefully I can do something physical tonight.
9/1 161.2 not bad considering yesterday was inservice, I sat all day, didn't work out, and had Wendy's for lunch2 -
Please anyone help - why does the copy/paste cut this off at the same point every day????

Round 15 I would like to be in the 180s. I realize that eliminating the water pill from my medications, signalling better health, will probably usher in a water weight gain as my body gets used to normalcy again. I hope I deal with it gracefully... Welcome Back Friends!!
8/31 - 191.6 Well I knew it was coming, the weight gain from eliminating the water pill. I'm on a liquid diet from oral surgery, stacked 2 cord of wood yesterday and came in with a significant calorie deficit so this is definitely fluid in some capacity.
9/01 - 192.4 Day 3 of liquid diet, I seem to be salt and carb loading. Today I can start soft foods for two weeks, at least I have more choices. When it's all over I'll have a brilliant smile, it won't erase the memories but it will erase the daily reminder of a time I would rather forget. On a better note, my bp without the water pill is still running around 110/70 and I see the Dr in 6 weeks, hopefully I'll be in a downward trend by then and he can eliminate more meds. Sorry for the grind guys... feeling the stress of the scale going up when I'm on point.
9/02 - 191.8 Went over on calories but still under maintenance, pretty sure that bottle of wine isn't included in a liquid diet. Crawled out of bed at 11:30 pm and staggered around the block in my pajamas because I was at 8900 steps, and I didn't want to break my 10000 step streak. Not sure if my loss is dehydration or that my fluids have finally levelled out.
9/03 - 194 I have no words
9/04 - 192.4 okay better..
9/05 - 190 This morning this happened, I really don't know if it's real or not.
9/06 - 188.8 Yup, it was real! Hooray for wooshes!18 -
I am definitley in! This group has been such a motivation to me. Last round was really difficult between having the flu and TOM being here. I've also found it incredibly hard to do my 30 minutes of biking 5 days a week since school started back up. When I get home from work, I am completely exhausted from molding little minds all day, yet I still have to help my own 3 children with their homework, cook dinner, pack lunches, and it usually isn't until 8 that I get to sit down. I need to be able to figure out how to fit exercise back in. I thought about mornings, but I get up at 5:30 as is to get my oldest on the bus and as soon as he leaves, I wake up my youngest to get him out the door. (Staggard busing here.) When he leaves, I leave for work. Any suggestions?
Round 15 SW 178.6
Round 15 GW: 178
UGW: 125
08/31: 178.6 I am back to where I started last round. Lol
09/01: 179.6 I am at a plateau. That's okay though. I'll keep walking, eating right, and drinking my H2O.
09/02: 177 Woo Hoo!!!! I have lost 25 lbs. now, and I met my goal and then some. I met last week's goal.
09/03: 176.8 Yes!!!! A little bit more has come off. I have been walking a lot more than I ever have before. My water intake was awful yesterday because I was gone all day running errands. I need to up my game today for that. I was under my calories but not by much either.
09/04: 176.6 I am losing a bit at a time. Still had a rough day with water, but I did better than I did the day before. I ate well though and plan to go biking with my husband this morning.
09/05: 176.8 My day started off well with a healthy breakfast, and I went on a 6 mile bike ride with my husband. Then, I barely touched water, skipped practically every meal, and ate a high carb and high sodium meal last night. I must admit, the dinner and the skipping of meals was a really bad choice. Did I fall off the wagon? No, it was almost 10 at night when I finally had my dinner because I spent all day in the hospital with my Mom. My Mom in this instance is my mother-in-law for clarification. She is battling lung cancer and could barely breathe. I sent a text to check on her and knew something was wrong. My husband and I rushed her to the hospital to find out she has developed pneumonia. It was a difficult Labor Day to say the least, and she will be there for I don't know how long.
09/06: 176.4 Slow and steady wins the race. A friend of my brother's asked me to pull over yesterday. He said he asked my brother who I was, and he said it was his sister. His buddy said that is not your sister. My brother told him about my weight loss journey, and the guy just had to tell me that I was looking really good. Awesome validation for all of my hard work.

8/31: 192.8 – didn’t eat enough yesterday. But still walked a lot.
9/01: 192.2 – Ate over cals yesterday. I made a big mistake the other day not eating enough, because I am so tired and drained now that I ate too much and didn’t work out. I am looking forward to this 3 day weekend!
9/02: 191.8 – Ate good calorie wise yesterday, over on the sugar, but treated myself! Walked our normal 3.25 mile route. Really happy with my results lately. I can’t believe I’m knocking on the 180’s door! I’ll have to buy some new clothes soon.
9/03: 191.4 – kind of a lazy day yesterday. I will get moving today.
9/04: 191.2 – Walked A LOT yesterday. Ate a little high on calories, hubby and I walked to the local burger joint (1.2 miles one way) and had a couple beers and split a burger and fries. Shopped and got some new work pants a size smaller! Woo!
9/05: 191 – the day after a long weekend. So tired! I just wish I could sleep a couple more hours. Ate a little extra yesterday, but not derailed by any means. And I hit my R15 goal!
9/06: 192 – Some bad food choices catching up. Goal today is to drink lots of water and get my food back on track and walk.

9/01: 240.4 (Was my bff's bday and went a bit crazy with the birthday cake and ice cream on the 30th and 31st...September will be about incorporating more veggies and fruits and less refined sugars)
9/02: 238 (ok so my bffs bday weekend continued with going to a buffet last night which I didn't want to decline because it was her bday weekend so I just tried my hardest to go with healthier choices which I guess paid off. If you get the salad first it really fills you.)
9/03: 236.4
9/04: 236
9/05: 236.8 (expected since I had bbq chicken and potato salad...hopefully will go back down tomorrow.)
9/06: 237.8 (damn those bagels and strawberry cream cheese....i went a little overboard with the cream cheese.)

Back again! I started last round at 144.4 and finished at 142.4 so happy. I'm looking to get to 141 or below without bouncing back. I started midway through Round 2 at 153.9 on 4/29. Slow going but better than nothing. I'm at roughly .5 a week loss.
We are all champs!
Day/Weight/Comment
8/30 142.4
8/31 142 ....45 ellip and gym yesterday! Yeah me!
9/01 142 and holding... for now. 1 hr weeding and 30 ellip yesterday. Ate smart but had a late night snack, something I never do but seemed like a good idea at the time. LOL today: gym and ellip.. Happy Friday All, stay strong.
9/02 142.4 Made it to gym and an aqua aerobics class but kinda blew it later. It's ok. The scale will go back down. I'm off to the forest for a couple days so hiking will be good change from ellip. I hope to come back in the 1's. Have a great holiday weekend (for those in the States).
9/03 no scale
9/04 no scale
9/05 144.2 Well, that hurts. Rained until morning we were leaving and so we ate in restaurants which never helps. Last night on way home had Chinese. Hoping this is mostly, or all, water weight. Lemon water and maybe to gym.
9/06 142.2 That's better. No exercise since I had a phlebotomy yesterday and losing 500 cc's of blood makes that out of the question. Ate reasonably and drank some lemon water. 3 days to get in the 141's.

Back for my 2nd round.
BW - 221.8
R14 - 218.8
R15 Goal - 216
08/31--218.8
09/01--218.2
09/02--217.6
09/03--217.0 - Biked 65 miles yesterday so thank goodness I have something to show for it!
09/04--216.4
09/05--217.6 - not surprised based on all the peanuts I ate last night. And the two margaritas. Good grief.
09/06--216 - yay! Now to stay here, or under, the next couple days.

I know those two 195 weights were flukes but I am chasing them anyway!!
SW, 212 (highest recorded weight) I've no idea what my highest weight was!
R09, SW 203.4 - mean weight - 201.4
R10, SW 200.4 - mean weight - 201.1
R11, SW 200.6 - mean weight - 200.2
R12, SW 199.4 - mean weight - 197.7
R13, SW 195.4 - mean weight - 198.4
R14, SW 195.0 - mean weight - 197.2
R15, SW 197.2 -
goal for R13 R14 R15 to get under and make being under 196lbs permanent
so it seems that getting under 196 (14 stone) is proving just as difficult at getting out of the 200's was!!
3rd round lucky!!!
UGW 140
30/8 - 197.2 - pulled a muscle or strained something anyway (really not sure how or what I have done but its painful and I am struggling to even walk or get a decent nights sleep, drank my water and stayed under my calories, due to being un-able to exercise I think the calories are even more important
31/8 - 198.8 - back in pain all day so I kept the calories low, its really all I can do at the moment!
01/9 - 197 - back in a lot of pain
02/9 - 198.4 - 6000 steps (pushing myself to see if it will help my back)
03/9 - 198.4 - OK so that didn't help!! now the pain has spread into my legs also -- rest it has to be!!
04/9 - 198.6 - I've decided to drop my calories for the next week, 1300 sounds fair, I am basically sedentary at the moment.
05/9 - 199.4 - not surprised, I'm not moving!! looks like this round is a wash out - went to bed earlier as I seem to be mostly pain free there.

TY @HeidiCooksSupper making a docs appointment as soon as I can get one - I am eating much lower at the moment due to not moving I'm averaging around 12 -1300 and Hoping it will show on the scale when the pain goes away instead of the bouncing up and down I am having at the moment.
well done on your 25 lbs loss so far4 -
@TerriRichardson112 - such great advice and encouraging words about the up and down fluctuation vs the trend downwards.
@dlhollin1 - if you've lost 40 pounds in 18 months you definitely do NOT "suck at this." - so you've had a rough 17 days - big deal - go back and read TerriRichardson112's advice. Spot on. Dude.
@cyranda63 -"wooshes" are a beautiful thing.
@nikki062181 - what a great compliment - and validation. Keep it up!
