I'm just thankful there are no White Castle burgers within Uber-distance.

I feel bad for the Uber drivers. Pretty sure when they signed up to drive for Uber, they didn't see this trainwreck coming.

It's not all bad. I'd steal at least a few french fries and maybe a chicken nugget on the way to delivering it.

I would just opt out of the Mickey D program.

Who wants their can smelling like their $hitty food?

Exactly. Uber drivers are rated by their passengers and one of the criteria is the cleanliness of the car. If I called an Uber and had smell the stench of fast food I'd be ticked.

See that's the kicker... Uber driving and Uber Eats delivery are DIFFERENT apps and you have to apply for them separately. It's a big mess, trying to deliver and drive at the same time, because if you're on a run for a delivery and a drive comes through, you have to ignore it. You can only ignore so much, or your rating goes down.

I don't understand why McDonalds delivering is any more controversial than Pizza Hut. Maybe just because it's not what we're used to?

I miss living in New York where you can get anything delivered. The McDonalds in my neighborhood was doing deliver like 8 years ago.

To me, it's not WHAT is being delivered, it's HOW it's being delivered. I get that Uber is a for-profit business, but as @aeloine explained above, it doesn't seem to mesh well with Uber drivers who are rated by their passengers. It can easily cause lower ratings at no fault of the Uber drivers themselves.
