Climate Change and the Meat Industry - Thoughts.

I have never liked the North American Meat Industry for its unnatural and cruel ways. I don't have an issue with meat-eating, as much as I do with excessive meat-eating, cruelty, and injecting hormones and antibiotics into animals.

But lately, I've been thinking about the impact excessive meat eating and the practices of the industry have had on climate change. Meat rationing (practised in many countries, already) or reducing meat consumption could significantly decrease the size of this unsustainable industry, improve people's health, and reduce the emission of greenhouse gases.

In any case, excessive meat consumption is not a suitable way of feeding the world's population, because there are just not enough pasture land and animals to support that lifestyle for everyone. Other kinds of more sustainable sources of protein need to be prioritised.

What are your thoughts?
