Looking for friends

Well I just started. I was down to 175, but because of medication and bed rest I am back up to 200! I hate being this big but along with the weight came a depression! I find food comforting. So here I go again! My goal is 160. Yes I was just 15 pounds away from my goal weight!!
Any advice as to how not to eat when you are feeling down?

Hey there! I'm looking to change my lifestyle as well. I think what helps most is to direct your attention toward something else. Maybe going for a walk or something. Or, write down how you feel after eating.

Going for a walk is the best medicine - so to speak. I've found it the best thing. Feel free to add me everyone.

As with anything else, it takes time to form a habit. Finding something to do other than eat when are bored or upset just takes time and retraining. Find a hobby! I knit and exercise!

Feel free to add me, everyone!

When I feel down I usually have coffee with a friend or take the dog for a walk. Keep yourself busy...maybe clean out a couple dresser drawers.Weight loss is such a struggle for me. I have lost and gained as well. I was at 230ish and dropped to 140 pounds. Now I am starting over after gaining back 45 pounds. Feel free to add me! I would love to help support you in your weight loss journey!

I've personally experienced the "eating when down" phase of my life and I found that the easiest thing for me to do was to start making healthier choices when I ate. Instead of grabbing, say, Ice cream, I'd reach for a veggie and humas. Then I found that the more often k ate healthier things in general, the less depressed I was and the less I found myself reaching for a snack. So it's not quite an alternative in the way you were thinking but it's very helpful

Feel free to add me as a friend. I'm more than happy to suggest stuff. I've just started eating healthy myself and while I know I can eat healthier still, I feel so much better than I did 2 weeks ago when I started this
