Find yourself looking for a treat?

No matter how healthy you eat on a regular basis (or unhealthy), everyone has those moments where they think 'I could really go for a donut right now' and more often than not, we give into these urges.
Well, no matter who you are, having a little treat every once in awhile isn't such a bad thing... but what if we could turn that donut into something slightly more... healthy?

I introduce to you, Applenuts (I made up that name, can't you tell?)
They're very simple and quick to make. All you need to do is slice up an apple like you would a lemon (make sure to take the core out) and 'ice' it with something like peanut butter and maybe you'll wanna drizzle some chocolate or something on top. Not your healthiest apple, but it tastes amazing and definitely is a lot better for you than that donut you were gonna grab.

You can be as creative with this as you want, too! Blueberry Greek yogurt with a very light dark chocolate drizzle tastes just as Devine as peanut butter, peanuts, and chocolate chips.

Hopefully someone out there decides to do this next time they start looking for junk, because it sure beats cake

:) best,
Sam

No. No it does not. Neither its lower in calories etc.

What I'm hearing is, when given the choice between an ae round that has a thin layer of peanut butter and some almond slivers on it and an iced donut, you're gonna go with the donut cause it's the healthier of the two?

This isn't supposed to be something you rat every day, it's obviously a dessert, and unless you're sharing, you probably shouldn't cover each apole round in stuff, but it is a healthier alternative for people, especially for people who do things like stress eat and reach for a couple donuts. Donuts are loaded with bad for you carbs and fats. Apples have good for you carbs and vitamins, and there's nothing wrong with adding a little bit of unhealthy into a healthy diet as long as you're keeping track of not just calories but nutrients as well.

I am always on board for coming up with "better" treats. Lately I am a fan of eating 15 semisweet chocolate chips, 15 raisins, and 15 peanuts with my lunch. haha It tastes like a Chunky bar.
