And wanted some input, especially from MFP members! The reason I am thinking of designing and starting this blog is more as a supplemental resource and place to gather information quickly, so you don't feel bombarded with rules, choices, and advice. Rather, it is a place to type in what you're looking for and be directed to a simple, concise answer!
I would cover (mostly) nutrition based resources and questions, as that is my specialty: making a list of healthy recipes organized by calorie amount, diet restrictions, ect. and brief articles on certain vitamins, nutrients, and how to navigate a brand new lifestyle like changing your diet.
I also want to dive into understanding the Psychology of diet and weight loss, especially what goes on in our heads as we decide to embark on such a life-changing journey.
I would really love to work with other people who are experts or (like me) self-studied experts on EXERCISE and DIET INFORMATION - like calorie zig-zagging, paleo, ect.

If you would be interested in reading a blog or perusing a blog like this, what would be important for you to have at your disposal? What types of information, or topics are most important to you?
Would you like a "Ask me Anything" section where I go through and make a FAQ section per subject, organized by title?
Tell me what would make the perfect outside resource for advice and tid-bit information for you! :flowerforyou:
Thanks, everyone, so much! You are all amazing and continue to inspire me as well as hundreds of other MFP users every single day!

i think this sounds fabulous and i would definitely read it! i would be interested in low-cal vegetarian options. :flowerforyou:
  • I that's a really good idea. I can give you a link to this article giving you scientific proof that a cheat day is something you can use to get out of or keep yourself out of a plateau. I will be attending university this fall for Nutrition, and I'm learning a lot already from my dummies book :)

I'd be able to help give little tid-bits about weight loss, maintenance or overall nutrition. I've accumulated a lot so far.
  • Good idea! The possibilities are endless..

I'd think about covering topics on Heart disease, statin drugs, steroids, fast food, cancer, binge eating, etc.

You could upload videos on cooking, and exercise techniques.

Another interesting thing is to cover different countries eating habits and which country is in the best shape and why. Why is the U.S so FAT? Where have we gone wrong? What are we teaching our children?

The fatter we get the more unhealthy we become thus requiring health insurance to cover the costs of the effects of becoming sick. Who's making money on our obesity?

Are these food Ad's playing games with our minds? What's REALLY in these products they sell..? Are more gyms opening up due to the fact, that we just can't stay away?

I could go on and on.. I won't though..LOL.. :flowerforyou:

I think that would be great. Info on nutrition is always something I could learn more about but really I just like to learn so anything would be nice.

One thing maybe you could include is why the more overweight a person is why they need to eat more calories.

Great suggestions, I will be taking all of them into count as I find they are all important! Thank you so much! :drinker:
Would you guys be interested in a MFP section, where I interview and write about a certain MFP member who is willing to share their story every month or so?
