PCOS, No Weight Loss

I have PCOS and weight loss has so far been an impossible battle for me. I'm suppose to eat roughly 1400 calories a day and I exercise at least 3x a week. I have a Fitbit and I am burning at least 2000 calories a day combined with exercise and just daily activities. The first week of MFP I lost 3 pounds and have lost nothing since then. (In fact, my weight came right back up today) I tried weight watchers before this and the same thing happened. 3 pounds lost, 3 pounds back. Any suggestions? Do I need to lower my caloric intake?

Do you use a food scale to weigh everything? Do you log everything, no skipping, cheating or forgetting?

How long have you been dieting?

Start logging your food. Get a food scale next time you go out shopping. Fitbit could be overestimating. Many things can cause weight gain including alcohol the night before, time of month, eating a salty food.

There are mistakes that people commonly make that cause them to not lose weight that we might be able to spot if you change your Diary Sharing settings to Public: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/account/diary_settings

Many women here with PCOS have said they found reducing carbs or going low carb to be helpful. (Others, however, mange to lose weight just fine without fussing with carbs.)

Are you weighing all solids and measuring all liquids, condiments and oils included?

Logging everything that goes in your mouth?

I have pcos and hypothyroidism and am so far down 150lb

No food scale. I've been doing it by measuring cups. But from the replies on here it sounds like I should invest in a food scale. Yes, I have been logging everything. Maybe once or twice have I not logged and I've been doing MFP for almost 3 weeks now. And I was doing Weight Watchers for about a month before this.

A food scale is eye-opening! Give it a shot. 32 grams of peanut butter will be a surprise, I bet.

Yep get a food scale and see first off if the problem is eating more than you think. Also, three weeks is nothing, you can't get discouraged so soon! Weight loss isn't linear, and water weight fluctuations can hide or exaggerate weight loss from week to week. And depending on how much weight you have to lose, you may need to lower your expectations a little too. Good luck!

I heard The Keto Diet is good for PCOS, I don't have that but I struggled with losing weight starting back in Jan but I have since been on the keto diet since June and I'm down 34 lbs I only walk for exercise, the first time I did MFP all I did was track my calories and I lost 60lbs in 6 months that was back in 2012, but this year I decided to do it again and it didn't work for me no matter how hard I tried until I discovered the Keto Diet, I love it and feel so good!

A food scale is by far the greatest tool. I even bought one for work. It will really open your eyes.
