Who wears a Pedometer? Challenge 8/1 thru 8/7

New to weight loss, I have only been at this for 23 days, and am looking for like minded people to help me stay focused.
I wear a pedometer and really try to get the "steps" in before my day is over. If you do too, let's join forces try a one week challenge to get in 93,000 steps this week (13,286 a day)! Challenge begins Monday 8-1-2011 thru 8-7-2011.
Daily reporting will be something along the lines of:
Username
Monday = XXXXX steps
Tuesday = XXXXX steps
Wednesday = XXXXX steps
Thursday = XXXXX steps
Friday = XXXXX steps
Saturday = XXXXX steps
Sunday = XXXXX steps
Total steps = XXXXXX
Looking forward to "stepping out with my MFP pals"

Hmm... A co-worker just gave me a pedometer that also count calories burn not to long ago. I think I will try this Challenge and hopefully it will get me walking more and more!!!. Not sure if I can get in 13,286 a day, but I'll try. After all what's a challenge if you don't try right!!! lol Are you going to be doing this challenge week to week??? Just wondering.0

Well it looks like it's just me and you. It's hard to get that many steps in but I am determined. Ready to push myself to the next 5-7 lb weight loss.

At work we're doing the Global Corporate Challenge (you can google it to get the details), so I'm always wearing one. The one I have at the moment is on loan because I've broken 2 of them over the past 7 weeks --- they fall off sometimes and if you drop them enough they simply stop working.
Monday I did 12,864 steps.
According to the health pamphlet I got, you should aim to get over 10,000 steps each day. To achieve that I do have to make the effort to walk to the train station each day instead of catching the bus. Little things like that have become habits now. It's been a really fun challenge so far and people in other teams are getting more creative about finding ways to include steps. :-)0 -
I guess I'm a little late here, but I can try to do it too! I have a desk job now, so it will be interesting to see what kind of exercise I get in during the day. Should I count my evening workout?0

Mondays steps: 24179 (throughout the day & jogging in the evening)
Nikki. I love my omron walking style. It comes 2its software to sync to the computer so you can chart you progress. It also has a belt clip with a security strap so you can't have it fall on the ground. It was about $30 on Amazon. It can even the difference between active steps and regular walking around. Had it for over a year and I couldn't be more pleased.0 -
