edited November 21 in Introduce Yourself
So I haven't seen the 170's since early 2014. I managed to make it all the way up to 215 last year. I am 187.5 now. I would kill to make it to the 170's by November 4th, which is when I go on vacation. I've been dieting off and on.. made it from 215 to 183 last year, then I realized got back up to 198 about three weeks ago, So I stared a low carb/high fat diet and lost 10.5 lbs so far. 8 of which came from the first week. These last two weeks it's been super slow on putting off the lbs and one week I even gained 2 for some reason. Does anyone think I'll be able to lose like 15 more lbs by November 4?

Honestly no. I'm not a fan of aggressive weight loss goals. The weight came on slowly and it should come off slowly.
    Progress is good though.

Most likely not. 7 weeks away. Even if you set MFP to lose 2 pounds a week that's 14 pounds. I'd probably aim for 1 pound a week and if you lose more, great. But don't get discouraged. You'll get there when you get there.

Your scenario is the same as mine! I'm at the same weight, was at your highest weight and have been flip-flopping. I was down to 186 this morning. I've been really hitting the cardio and heavier weights lately. Also drinking lots of water and keeping my diet very clean and taking my supplements. I think it's possible and have faith in you if you have the drive and determination. Being a female at the same weight, I've seen these kinds of changes before with discipline. Good luck to you!! :)

That is neither a healthy or realistic goal.
Set mfp to lose 1 lb a week, make sustainable long term life changes, buy a super cute flattering vacation outfit

That is too much to lose in that time frame. Work on staying within calories and getting more active (which can help say within calories) and I'm sure you'll become more focused on your clothes fitting better/overall looks than the number on the scale.

I forgot I even made this post, and still can't figure out how to see when people comment back to it. So I'm just now reading all of these! Thank you for all of your input. I did end up getting to 177 by Nov 4! Since then with all of the holidays + cruise food that one week, I got back up to 184, but now I am back to 177. I'm attempting to continue losing weight on low carb, eventually getting to 150 at least! It's all possible with a whole lot of determination!
