How many weeks did you sustain on your first attempt?

For myself it takes about six weeks to build up the habit. Once I hit that milestone I can keep going. Try setting a goal of exercising on a consistent basis for a couple of months to.establish a routine behavior.

Sign yourself up for a 5K or something. Alternatively, print this out and hang it on your mirror:

YOU ARE WORTHLESS SCUM, YOU NON-EXERCISING LAZY COUCH DWELLER. BETTER GET A LAST LOOK AT YOUR FEET BEFORE YOU CAN'T SEE THEM ANYMORE. HAVE MORE ICE CREAM WHY DON'T YOU?

Edited to add: I can obviously tailor the above more to your liking. Let me know if there are any specific sensitive points that you'd like me to address and I'd be happy to oblige.

Build a playlist... listen to a few motivational vids on you tube... then. just. do it!

You've been there... get back up... dust yourself off... and keep going.

Why do you want to exercise more? The answer to that question is your motivation.

Thank you everyone! I'll try these tips. I was working out regularly for about 4 months and then life got in the way and I stopped; and the next thing I knew it's been several months since I hit the gym. Tomorrow I'm going to get back on track!!
