Hi all,
My scale isn't moving, and while I know that I shouldn't look only at the scale...well. It's the SCALE.
If you wouldn't mind giving me some insight to my diary, I would appreciate it.
These are the things I see that I need to correct:
1. Too many over-calorie days
2. Too much alcohol
3. Maybe need more exercise?
What do you all think?
Thanks!

HUM, I took a look, and one thing might help, I see that the majority of your calories are at dinner, you may want to switch that around. What I have read is that we burn better in the morning, then in the evenings, we start to shut down. You may want to do a high calorie and healthy breakfast, to give a jump start on the day.
Anytime you go over in your calories, there is no excess to burn, so that will slow down weight loss. 3,500 calories is one pound. But, you want to make sure you eat at least 1,200 a day.
Everything that we put into our bodies has a factor in our metabolism, and what i have learned that our systems are very sensitive. Good quality organic food along with whole grains will also help.0 -

Thanks guys! For some reason I missed that my days were top-heavy. I always think of myself as a big breakfast person, but the diary doesn't lie!
One thing though - I eat my snacks throughout the day, not all at night, the diary just has them listed at the end of the day. I think I will change my diary to have mid morning, afternoon, and evening snack times so that I can see when I'm eating the calories.
Thank you for taking the time to look and moreover, to respond. I really appreciate it.
ETA: I changed my diary settings and now all my past entries are wonky - so please don't pay much attention to the headings, just the food. Thanks!0 -
I am not going to be of much use to you, I don't think. You'd die if you saw my diary. On the days that you are coming in under your calorie goals, I'm thinking you must be starving? That just doesn't look like a lot of food, which is why I am the last person who should be trying to help.
My biggest thing though is that I exercise five days a week and typically burn between 300 and 400 calories each time--up to 800 calories if I'm doing a long run. This is my only saving grace because I seriously can't exist on 1200 calories without being hungry all day long.
That said, I haven't lost anything in two weeks. But then again, I know I've been over calorie often because we've been rushed and entertaining and having too many family dinners (my BIL is in town) for my liking, so it doesn't really surprise me all that much.
I think you're doing great.0 -
I'm under my calorie goal sometimes???? Seriously, those must be the days when I just fall into bed exhausted. I hate being hungry and am NOT one of those "oh, I forgot to eat" people. I think that is why nighttime eating is kicking my butt.
If I worked out as hard as you did you can bet I would be starving!
Thanks for looking and for the encouragement0
