    Welcome Claire

Yes those drinks sure add up but 'zero' versions or diet are virtually nil cals...

    Good Luck

Hi, I just joined as well and thought I'd say hi to another newbie. You will start to make small changes one by one, like what you just did with the sprite, and they will all add up! You can do it! :)

I keep a jug of tap water in the fridge with a couple of lemon slices in it. It tastes great! I'm going to try it with orange slices too.

What works for me is pre-planning. I know what kind of cream I can have in my coffee and make sure I buy when I go grocery shopping. If there are any special/healthy treats I like - I buy them when I am grocery shopping. This way it stops me from having to go to the store during the week when I may be hungry and more likely to make a poor food choice. I also don't beat myself up anymore if I do slip up. I figure I didn't get this size overnight so it will take more than just overnight to change my lifestyle. I just get back up (ok - sometimes drag myself back up:laugh:) and get back on the wagon.

    Good Luck!!:flowerforyou:

My favourite 'good treat' at the moment has to be the Ben and Jerry's frozen yoghurt, it's incredibly low in fat and calories for something that tastes so almost like ice cream!
For drinks try fizzy mineral water with a splash of sugar free cordial and loads of ice :)
    Good luck! xxx

Liquid calories will kill you. Fresh brewed tea, coffee and water all have 0 calories and the tea and coffee have many health benefits. Lean cuts of turkey, chicken, fish are low calorie. Eggs can really keep you full and they are cheap, healthy and low calorie for protein. Fruits and veggies are low calorie. You can make a great spaghetti with spaghetti squash noodles, turky, homemade pasta sauce. The squash is buttery and healthy and the sauce is what you make it. I made that last week and my 3 and 5 year old couldn't get enough! It was a very satisfying meal too.

The important part is that you get back on the wagon. Welcome to all and best of luck. It's a bumpy ride, but hold on and it will be worth it in the end.

I have been on MFP now for almost 4 months! I now shop for special treats to keep me going! I love Special K cracker chips with sea salt, fiber one brownie bars, SPecial K bars, Skinny cow ice cream sandwiches, 94 percent fat free microwave popcorn, fruit, crystal light drinks, always keep a pither of water in the fridge with lemon slices, grill fish, slamon and chicken all the time, enjoy weight watchers smart ones microwave meals for lunch....and yogurt for breakfast! I feel like I am eating all day....and stay under 1200 calories on weekdays....and up my calories on weekends so I feel like I am not deprived. I have lost 43 pounds so far! Good luck! I hope this helped! : )
