MTV launched at midnight 30 years ago today!

Can you believe it? 30 years??? It doesn't seem possible. The very first video was "Video Killed The Radio Star" by The Buggles and I was there to see it!

2. What was the most memorable thing you remember from MTV during their first year?

    Too bad MTV ruined anythig between music and television.

    A really badass channel-VH1 Classic. It suites my taste in music perfectly...

    i remember watching Mtv for hours, every day. I had the videos memorized! Now, it's nothing like it was, and I can't remember the last time I watched it. It's sad :(

    I was born that year but when I was older.....We went through a Sir Mix Alot Phase...."Baby Got Back!!!" hhahah

    Ok, I'm going to date myself. MTV started the summer right before I started high school! I loved it, it was the best. J.J.Jackson, Mark Goodman, Martha Quinn! It was about all I watched! Too bad they ruined it, I don't think they even play music now, do they?
