I had this friends with benefit thing going on with this dude and he started asking me to be his girlfriend. I just wanted fun and he wanted serious, so I said no. But here I am a couple if weeks later and I want a serious relationship with him but he now has a girlfriend....

A couple of weeks later he has a girlfriend? He was interested in you first (maybe?)

Go for it...what do you have to lose? Tell him you changed your mind.

If the guy has a lot to offer, then finding a new girlfriend in two weeks isn't unreasonable.
How serious they are is a separate issue.

If I had a fwb and was shut down trying to take the relationship to the next level, as a guy, I probably have already moved on.

    You snooze you lose.

You figured MFP out fast. It took me months to figure it out. Mad props for doing it within five minutes of creating a profile. Seems legit.

Or perhaps they are just coming back? Perhaps this is a second account to ask the question.

Perhaps. I just got the iTunes card recipient vibe from the post. If in fact OP wanted to be anonymous and ask the question, then my answer would still be the same though to the OP.

I dunno, maybe the OP has legitima.....

    wait.

did you say: gift card ?!?

Really tho? 2 weeks and a "girlfriend"...that's a big "commitment" (type word) for 2 weeks (not saying they weren't 'together' before, same way he was with OP)...how about "I'm just *kitten* someone else now" instead of girlfriend? Just seems desperate to me.

Like "any guy/girl will do"...I want a 'relationship' now!

Actually... I said, card .... BUT now that you mention it...gift card seems WAY more accurate.

You know, love sickness is legitimately EXPENSIVE. Gift cards are the way forward! :D

    Love Sickness is Expensive?

    Boy Howdy! ..... It is.

In more ways than one; it damn sure is.

yeah, if the guy has game, he can do a lot of selling in just two weeks.

.... maybe it's a lowercase 'g' in girlfriend? dunno. (he might not have anyone new and is just blowing smoke)

In 2 weeks time, many girls would quip: 'slow your roll'

    others.... 'full speed ahead'

iTunes GC always change someone's mind. I would go for like $10, if you are serious about it.

Not judging, but what made you change your mind about wanting a serious relationship with him?

You know the old saying... you don't want something (or someone) until you see someone else has it/him/her.

How bout a Blockbuster free rental certificate? (not good on new releases, tho)

So it's only good on those rent 1 get 1 free deals?

That's serious relationship material/reason right there

I have to wonder if he really wanted a serious relationship with you if he got over you in only two weeks. This could be a rebound situation. Tell him your feelings. Chances are if you don't, you will always wish you did. Regrets are never fun to deal with.
