Hey guys I recently started taking supplements to aid me in weight loss I'm taking SHRED HER NLA and CLA, it gives me energy but suppresses my appetite a great deal to the point where I have to make myself eat. I'm supposed to eat 1450 calories daily but with lifting/ cardio I burn about 400 calories leaving me only with about 1050 calorie intake for the day. My macros are 135g Carbs, 120g protein, and 65g of fat. My concerns are if I eat back what I burned during exercising it will throw my macros off. Will I still be able to lose weight if I go over my macro intake? Any advice is greatly appreciated :#

You don't need caffeine supplements to lose weight. Start logging all your food religiously and you will lose weight. Get a food scale next time you go grocery shopping. Try logging daily for 3 weeks and you WILL see a difference.
Many people here say to eat back 1/2 your exercise calories. You will lose weight if you stay under your macro calorie intake. It's all about calories......all about calories.

Those supplements are unnecessary....to be honest I don't even know what they are or what they do :/

I take a supplement every morning which helps with energy and is supposed to boost metabolism. I use whey protein after a workout to help with muscle repair. It all seems to help, without them I was finding it harder due to lack of energy and muscle fatigue. When losing weight your body has less to repair itself so those supplements can help counteract it.

they dont boost metabolism though not enough to see a real difference and the ones that do arent legal(aside from prescription meds).if you had a lack of energy and muscle fatigue you either werent eating enough calories or it was something else(maybe not warming up or cooling down, not getting enough protein, not enough water, etc)

The protein is my major one, hence why I'm onto the whey protein, it's a lazy low cal way of getting 20g of protein.

Not needed, flush that stuff down the toilet.

nothing wrong with whey protein if you dont get enough into your diet. Im talking about other symptoms. but none of them still boost metabolism enough to make a difference in anything.

    1. You can have all kinds of macros and still lose weight as long as you are in a calorie deficit.
    2. If you don't eat back your exercise calories you are not using MFP the way it was designed.

MFP uses the NEAT method (Non-Exercise Activity Thermogenesis), and as such this system is designed for exercise calories to be eaten back. However, many consider the burns given by MFP to be inflated and only eat a percentage, such as 50%, back. Others, however, are able to lose weight while eating 100% of their exercise calories.

My FitBit One is far less generous with calories than the MFP database and I comfortably eat 100% of the calories I earn from it back.
