Weight Loss Challenge for August! (OPEN)

So I've been looking for a weight loss group for August but all the ones I find are closed. So I'm starting one. :-) If this goes well, I'll host a group "challenge" each month. I'll leave sign ups open until Friday (08/05).

To sign up, reply to this post with:

Your starting weight for August
Your personal goal for August
Your personal self-challenge for August

Then, come back here every week when you weigh in and update us! Feel free to chat on the board too. This is just to help us be accountable to someone. :-)

For example, here is my "sign up" post:

SW as of 08/01: 224.4
Goal for Aug: 220
Self-Challenge: Workout at least once every day.

    Excellent! I just started today, so I was hoping to find something open! Yay!

    Starting weight - 272.5
    August goal - down to 260
    Personal goals for August (sorry, I have more than one!)
    Week 1 - track every day and be sure to drink enough water
    Week 2 - head back to the gym - go M-F
    Week 3 - start c25k
    Week 4 - maintain all this awesomeness and meet goal!

    I'm already a part of an awesome support group for mommies, but this is an important month for me so i will try a 2nd!

    My name is LaToya Booker. I am the mommy of 2, a toddler and an 11 month old. I am done having babies so i want to transform my body into a hot one! I have around 23 more pounds to lose and I have been struggling to shake the 150's. My goal for August is just that: Shake the 150's!! My plan of action is an Insanity and Ripped in 30 Hybrid for 6 weeks. I am going to Vegas on September 16, 2011 and i wanting to be in a swimsuit by then.

    SW- 156 (August 1st)
    GW- 150 (Sept 1st)

    I'm relatively new to this site, so I was kind of bummed & feeling like I missed out with all the flurry of activity in people joining challenges. Hopefully this will work to keep me focused and challenged! Thanks for starting one! :)

    I'm glad to see so much interest! To find this thread again next time you want to update, go to "My Topics". You will have to scroll down to find it. "My Topics" shows all the threads you have posted to. I'm not sure if there is a way to add it to your favorites. However, you could bookmark it in your browser.

    Also feel free to add me. Then when I post an update in this thread it will show up in your news feed and provide a link to the thread.
