Hello everyone I am new to the site and have recently lost 21lbs and still have quite a bit to go. I dont lift weights just yet however I do water aerobics daily and some light walking. I have decreased my calories to 1500. My question is Whey Protein. Should I be using that? I am not trying to bulk up just lose weight and some of the protein powers are high calories, high sodium and high in cholesterol. Just wanting to make sure I keep the momentum going

Sun Warrior makes some that are low sodium/calories/etc. The two that come to mind are Illumin8 and their Classic protein powder line. Also, Nutribiotic has some that are less protein, but lower in the other stuff. I use these from time to time to boost my protein. Both of these are plant-based protein lines.

A calorie deficit is the only way you will lose weight! As AnvilHead pointed out Protein shakes are an ideal way to get Extra Protein into the system. The calorie counter/tracker here is a fantastic place to start to log those!
    Good luck!
