i am an avid gym goer, its the most practical for me because i can put my baby in the gyms day care for a couple of hours and get a really good work out in. except i feel like somethings always coming up for example: shes got a cold so i don't wanna bring her and spread the germs... or my husband needs my car and leaves me with his motorcycle (which i cant take her on)
anyways i'm getting sooo frustrated because i'm really trying to lose weight and i know i need to work out.
i don't have a jogging stroller and buying one isn't really an option right now but i was really hoping for some awesome work out ideas i could do.... any suggestions?

Can you not use workout DVDs? You don't need any equipment for many of them and there would be no childcare issue? I use a couple of different ones as well as going to the gym, mainly when I am pushed for time I use 30 day shred as its only 20 minutes.0

There are a host of workout DVD's out there. I'm doing Kettleworx right now and loving it!0

Do you have anything like Wii Fit at home? Or a stationary bike? I do the wii fit, and I do sit ups at home, and being that it is summer I throw in swimming as well, however my kids are older and I don't have to be with them at all times in the pool. You could try jogging in place, jumping jacks and other home friendly exercises or you could just walk you don't need a jogging stroller for that. Just some ideas I could come up with.
Forgot to add workout dvd's as well, they have so many to choose from.0 -

Have you tried any fitness dvds? Some people love them, some people hate them. I love them. You can get a good workout in your own house. I find that I rarely have a good reason *not* to do it. I've always got 30 minutes or so to work out in my living room.0

Try some at home DVD's- you can get them from the library and see which kinds you like and work for you, or just good old fashion walking around the neighborhood with the stroller.
If you're looking into a jogging stroller try something like craigs list or ebay you can probably get one for way cheaper since getting the full price isn't an option as you stated.0 -
Try some workout DVDs, or if you have Netflix there are some good ones on there. I think on HULU.com you can find some too and its free.0

Have you tried workout videos? I used to be a gym goer as well, but like you, things keep creeping up that would prevent me from going. That's when I started looking into workout videos. Now that's almost all I do exclusively, with maybe only 1 gym visit a week now for their track (to do C25K that I just started) and an interval on the elliptical to change things around a bit.
I was really skeptical about workout videos at first, as the last time I really did them was back in the 80s or so. But I've really changed my mind about them. I find that I actually get a harder workout at home these days than the gym, plus it's a HUGE time saver as I don't have to factor in the time I spend traveling between my home and the gym. I also love that I can just jump into my own shower right after.
That said, depending on the type of workout you're looking for, you can pick your workout videos accordingly. There's a large variety out there - something for everything, and even things you didn't think to do before! If you list out a few things you're interested in doing, I'm sure there would be lots of suggestions streaming in.0 -
In a pinch, you can always do the basics: jumping jacks, push ups, planks, squats, lunges.0

I've got 6 kids, and can't ever really get to the gym. I pop on a workout DVD when the little ones are sleeping, I have some strength training I've got memorized and just do that routine whenever an opportunity presents itself. I am training for a 1/2 marathon next month, so I do have to always run 4 days a week. I just let my hubby know which days, and we make sure I get out. Those are the only workouts I ever schedule, but I don't have a choice on those if I want to finish the race! lol0

I was a HUGE gym goer before I moved to SC to be with my fiance. Our son stayed with one of his two grammas and I would go before work. When I had my day off from work or was just not feeling the whole gym thing I would use leslie sansone dvd's. They have them at walmart or like $6. I have time warner cable and they have a TON of FREE workouts on there. You just have to go though on demand...if you have that. Also if you go to you tube there are some workouts on there. I also from time to time just jog in place to get some kind of cardio in for the day. I do a couple different ab workouts which I found on you tube and I have a dvd of the bigget loser and I jillian michaels dvd which I also got from walmart. Also I went to walmart and got some weights.. I have two 5 lb ones which I think cost 10 total. Hope this helps you some! Good luck with you weight loss!
