Exercising after a car accident

Last week I was struck by a car. Fortunately, I didn't sustain serious injuries, but I'm still a bit wobbly and have mild pain and soreness.
Before the accident, I finished a round of shift shop (high intensity exercise program) and planned to do another round. However, I'm not ready to do it.
I still want to lose some weight will I'm healing. Does anyone have some suggestions on what I could do to continue to lose weight without high impact exercise. Thanks.

You don't need any exercise to lose weight, just a calorie deficit. But I would look into some chair exercises for the time being to keep your muscle tone. I injured my back in Dec and have been maintaining since to try to heal the best. I tried to start back with the exercise program I had been on, and just aggravated the injury. Good luck with healing quickly.0

I'm in a wheelchair, and I can't exercise, but I still lost 31 pounds in 4 months; CICO. Hope you are feeling stronger soon. But don't cut your calories too much to make up for not exercising, it's not necessary, and your body needs food to heal.0

I always go by what my body is telling me. If it hurts thats your bodys way of telling u stop! I do however believe in active rest days. Dont just do nothing.0

I would say at maintenance while you're healing, walk for exercise if you want.0

There are a lot of low impact workouts around check out HASFIT & The Bodycoach TV on Youtube. Provided your doctor is fine with you exercising?
Bear in mind you may want to eat at maintenance whilst you're healing, a deficit isn't always a good idea after something like this, you body needs the energy to help repair itself and a week or two off won't hurt in the grand scheme of things.1 -
Thanks everyone for the advice!0
