Upping Calorie Intake?

In the last year I have lost 45lbs. Since the beginning of September I have been so hungry compared to normal. I am uncertain if I should up my calorie intake for a couple of days if this is just a phase or is it possible that my goal is to aggressive since I have lost weight? I am still aiming to lose 2lbs a week (I currently weigh 185.7 at a height of 5'6). I have been very strict about my calorie intake since last September and I am nervous to change what has been working so well, especially since I am still losing.

I think your intuition is right here, as you are getting closer to your goal you can eat more and slow down your progress so that what you're doing is more sustainable in the long run. You're probably not going to be able to sustain 2 lbs a week weight loss all the way to your goal weight. There's a lot of different guidelines out there on what kind of weight loss goal is best for how much weight you have to lose, but they all follow the same principle that you adjust your goals as you get closer to your goal weight

Yep, drop your goal to 1 lb per week. You no longer have the body fat to support a more aggressive deficit (yay!!).

I'm a similar weight and height and have lost nearly 80lbs since last November. 2lbs a week is too much for me now, I was getting very tired with a fair amount of hair loss.

I've upped my calories and average a pound a week now. I'm late 40's but active so can eat around 2000-2100 calories a day which feels a lot more comfortable. Did go through a bit of a weight adjustment at first but things have sorted themselves out and are fine now.

How much weight do you have left to lose? I would drop your goal in MFP to 1.5 or 1 lb, depending on your end goal.

If you have 75+ lbs to lose 2 lbs/week is ideal
If you have 40-75 lbs to lose 1.5 lbs/week is ideal
If you have 25-40 lbs to lose 1 lb/week is ideal
If you have 15-25 lbs to lose 0.5 to 1.0 lb/week is ideal
If you have less than 15 lbs to lose 0.5 lb/week is ideal

I am having the same issue with hunger lately too. I was set at losing 2lbs a week and it was working great. Lost a 1/3 of what I wanted (from 204lbs down to 185) but now I feel like I am always hungry. My weight loss even stopped completely because I found myself mindlessly eating and forgetting that I did. So I was eating way too many calories.
