Does anyone do SlimmingWorld? I'm no convinced my body likes carbs but I feel like a change and I do miss eating pasta.
Does everyone on it always lose weight? And if so how much on average?
I tried it a few years ago I didn't lose much but I don't think I was focused enough!
Thanks for your feedback.

Weight loss isn't about method, not really about focus, definitely not about carbs - it's about consistently taking in fewer calories than you burn. People can lose up to 1% of ther body weight per week on average. Optimal weightloss rate comes from optimally set calorie goal and sticking consistently to it.
Your body burns the calories you give it, it has no preference for one macronutrient over another to use as fuel. We usually eat a bit of everything anyway. (What do you mean by carbs? Sugar, starch - or just junk food?) But you will indeed notice the effect of a good vs a bad diet.
Why do you feel like a change? What are you doing now, what do you want to do? If you miss pasta, eat pasta. You don't have to eat pasta all the time and in unlimited amounts (but I don't think that's what you want anyway).1 -
I lost 4 stone on SW a couple of years ago. I really enjoyed it, as I never felt deprived and it was easy to follow.
If you're focused on it, and fill in your food diaries honestly and consistently, you can definitely lose. I know a lady who has lost 11 stone on it so far
I gained weight back though when I went off plan (my own fault - lots of takeaways that weren't sensible choices!) so I rejoined last April. I didn't do as well my second time, possibly because the plan was no longer drastically different to how I was eating.
I'm now doing calorie counting on here, which I'm finding better as it means I can have foods I couldn't fit into Slimming World, which is keeping me sane haha0 -
I lost 42lbs on slimming world. It took me around 9 months to lose that amount. If you write down everything in your food diary and follow it 100 percent you will lose. I lost around 1.5 lbs a week, I did have weeks were I went off plan and gained but then there were weeks I would lose 3lb. It is good because it isnt hard to follow.0
