I'm 5'9 and i weight 498lbs.

I have Genetic illness called
Multiple endocrine neoplasia type 1(m.e.n. 1). This causes tumors to form though out my body and memory issuse and much more.

My weight and men 1. I'm pain almost all the time. I'm on so many meds it ant funny. Sees docs ever other week for test but there is no plan other then wait.

I am seriously depressed and in June i did try to kill myself by taking a bottle of pain killers and sleeping pills. (called or help after taking it.)

I need to lose weight not just for feeling better and not in so much pain all the time but so doctors can get me on the list for surgery.

I have bipolar disorder myself, mostly depression. I had a suicidal ideation episode almost two years ago. Spent a week in a mental health institution for it. I'm on a handful of psych drugs and an appetite suppression drug to help cope with the increased appetite from them.

I wouldn't wish depression on my worst enemy. I'm sorry you know what it's like.

Welcome to MFP and my friends list. You can do this!

I'm very happy to see you here. If you ever need a chit chat...I'm terrible with social interaction, but damnit, I'll try lol.

The good thing to work for is that by losing weight you'll eventually not need some of those meds. Always keep your docs informed of your progress.

Good for you for coming here and getting going on your new journey. You are going to have good days and some bad days, but as long as you log everything and keep going you will end up at your goal. I've seen a lot of people improve their health and well being on here, there is no reason why you can't join them.
Find an activity you like doing and get exercise, it does wonders for your mood and mental health is my only real advice for you. Don't give up if you find you don't like the first ten things you try either, there is always an activity for every body, no matter what!

Just don't get all turned around by people who claim keto is it, or juicing is it, low carb is it, or only eating four hours a day is it. There literally is no it. You will find what works for you. Fads come and go on here just like everything else, but the only thing that remains the same year after year with the people I see who are successful, they log everything (even when they have a bad day) and then move more than they used to. It is literally that easy.
