New Drivers lic photo just shocked me. 270 pounds lost so far.

Decided to get a motorcycle, added that endorsement to my lic so needed a new picture. The difference between the two photos is a bit dramatic.
My old lic photo was taken in 2014 when I weighed right around 497 pounds. The new photo was taken last week and I weighed 225.
Long way to go yet, but getting there!!!!
Just simply blew me away when I took the old one out to replace it in my wallet.

Thank you all for the very nice words of encouragement! It truly does mean a great deal to me.
It has been worth every bit of work for the new me. Still a ways to go to a healthy weight, but nothing is going to stop me from getting there!!
I saw a friend last week I had not seen in 2-3 years. He literally had no idea who I was. This person I have known for 30 + years.Have you written your success story here on MFP yet? I would love to hear about your journey and tools for such an incredible transformation!! Great job!!!
Not yet, bits and pieces here and there. I plan on doing a post once I hit 200 pounds lost for the year. Math says it will be the first part of December. Might do it when I hit 209 pounds (191 for the year) because that will have moved me from obese to overweight and that is a fairly big step.
Sort version is I started the year at 400.8 pounds. This morning I hit 223.4. Eating 1400 calories a day since January 10th (only have gone over that 2 days this year) when I started "for real" Once I hit about 350 I joined a gym, light weight lifting, and some exercise bike. Once I hit 300 pounds, I started riding my bike on the street. Now walking 2-3 miles a day (1300 step average a day total) and do 8 miles a day on the road bike. Still doing light weight lifting everyday, Along with 25 minutes at a high pace on the exercise bike. Took a while to build up to that, but been working hard!
Tools are simple.
Do it for yourself, and no one else. Don't cheat. Meal plan.
Not eating is always an option. Took me a while to find that out. It is still fun to go out with friends and just grab a soda water or whatever and enjoy their company.
There should never be the question of "oh what m I going to have?" Because that leads to pizza, McDonald's etc. Have meals planned at least a few days ahead of time.
I eat the same thing everyday, the exact three meals. Food has moved from a pleasure, to simply fuel. Once a month I grab a Chic Fil A sandwich as a treat (not a cheat) and I stay within my self imposed calorie limit. But that is my only non standard meal for the month.
Intermittent fasting has helped me quite a bit. I do 16:8. So I know exactly what my meal times are. Has eliminated snacking. I can look at the clock and say... "Oh it is only an hour till lunch, I'll wait" So no sudden need to go eat that bag of chips and wash it down with a 2 liter of soda, then go grab a pizza for dinner. Because well its dinner time right?6 -
You have done wonderfully- great job!1

This is probably the ONLY reason someone would actually want to go to the DMV!!! Stellar job, the transformation is amazing!1
