What food would NOT be good, deep fried? Personally, I can't think of any.

We had deep fried Oreos not long ago. They were delicious.

I worked in a diner once and on slow days we would deep fry everything we could think of just to see how it would turn out. I can confirm that everything that we tried out tasted pretty good fried.

I'm just not a huge deep fried fan. I try. But I just don't like batter or crumb as a general rule. The only deep fried things I really like are buffalo wings and similar, where they're only floured before frying, for crunch.

Oh, and deep fried mashed potato and gravy balls are good too.

I think you freeze it, very cold, first. Why is a whole 'nother question.

First of all, it's not like a whole stick of butter. When I've had it (state fair), they freeze small cubes of butter, wrap them in doughnut dough, and throw them into the fryer. The butter melts into the dough and just makes it a really buttery-tasting doughnut. It's pretty darn good, but definitely something I'll limit to a once-a-year thing. :)

All fruit, most non-root vegetables. I'm not a fan of most deep fried foods. About the only deep fried foods I eat are chicken and potatoes.

Never tried but I imagine watermelon would not work out in the deep fryer.

Liquid Nitrogen to really really freeze it then a quick dip super hot oil. (I don't recall liking it, but I do remember loving the demonstration in chemistry class.)
ETA: we froze the butter already coated in funnel cake batter, and then deep fried. The donuts above sound better.

My state fair deep fries the whole stick of butter, like a corn dog. It is on a stick and frozen I'm guessing. They probably fry it fast like ice cream. My sister got it once and it was literally a pool of melted butter with the fried batter sitting in it. She said it tasted like a cinnamon roll but I just took her word for it. I've heard m&m's don't fry well.
