Hello everyone. I am new to the community even though I have been using MFP on and off for years. I have always wanted to lose the "baby weight" from my 2 children to get back to a healthy state and avoid health conditions such as diabetes which runs in my family. My children are 13 and 9 and I weigh more now than I did after I gave birth to my second child. Enough is enough. I read an article about how a stay at home mother lost ~60lbs in 8 months with the help of the MFP community keeping her accountable. I'm hoping I can find the community to be as beneficial with my journey as she did. It's time to make a change... a healthy lifestyle change.

Good 4 U , keep it up and don't let life get in the way.
I've been doing Mfp for a few years now it keeps me on track.
Losing the weight (although at the time I didn't think so) was easier than keeping it off, I find it so hard to keep focussed. I use mfp to set calories, add my food and add exercise , then the challenge throughout the week is to look at my graph and ensure I'm still on track.
Anyway keep at it, 'your life ....your rules' if ever you need a kick or support give me a shout

Of course add me. I too want to lose about 40lbs, but slowly so the weight stays off. I’m giving myself til next July which is a reasonable goal. Tracking your food/calorie is a big plus, healthy eating-essential, exercise-a bonus, weight-loss is the prize!! We can do this together!!1
