I'm probably around 16-17% now maybe?

In my profile photo I'm about 12% per DEXA.

Based on a DEXA done a few years ago plus weight loss and calipers/scales now I'd guess in the mid 20's. Somewhere around 24% - 26%.

I have no idea since I don't measure it.. but just based on looks, somewhere between 17-20% would be my guess.

Mid twenties. Right now it's higher than I'd like because I gained weight that I'm in the process of losing again.

I'm fine with it being in the mid 20's since I'm 55.

At my fittest (female, at the time 27) I was 22%. Oh man. I was seeing abs starting to peak out. Let it slide, gained 25 lbs of mostly fat, am now likely 25-26% BF, based on math, assuming I mostly gained fat & based on appearance.

    I'm currently about 17%. Around 2000 I was <10%. When I started MFP in 2014 I never measured, but certainly >30%.

somewhere between 35% and 38% at the moment

I'll be very happy to get under 15%. Never have been, even when I was at my adult lightest of 185, I had much less lean mass than I do now, and was still pretty doughy.

That is incredible... like... how? how did you drop 14% body fat that fast? I've been trying for 18months and can't seem to break the 20% plateau.

I'm guessing I'm around 30%. I'd like to think I'm smaller, but I doubt it.

I like these photos to compare to. It helps keep me realistic.

    Body-Fat-Percentage.jpg

Those are very misleading though since they only provide one example and it would vary a lot by body type. A lot of people with 30% body fat will not have a waist as small as in that picture.

Yea they are all different people, standing at different angles, just focusing on the torso. I guess it can give a very rough idea.. but in the end, ya not super accurate

there's no way you could ever be super accurate with this sort of thing, too many variables. But this seems to be a reasonable approximation.

    Somewhere in the 23-25 range.

If I got rid of my belly fat it could be lower, but I am not willing to have less fat on my arms and legs, and that is what would happen. The worlds slowest recomp may eventually get it down a point or 2.
Who knows, who cares. I'm fit, healthy, and look pretty good with or without clothes.

    Cheers, h.

It would be if you are the same body type as the woman shown. A woman with an apple body type will look very different because those all appear to be hour-glass or pear shaped women.

True. I won't. Plus those photos are probably of people 20 years younger than me, with fewer pregnancies behind them, and have not gained then lost. No loose skin at all in those pics.

Its probably under 25 percent but not too sure. Doc did a calculation of 21 % measuring the body during a health check up but its probably not exact. Stomach is quiet Lean but no visible abs.

I'm probably right around 20%, more likely a bit over than below. Carry almost all my fat around the middle and some on my upper thighs. If you just saw me in a tank top you'd think a lot lower, as shoulders, arms and upper chest are lean, as is my calves.

I was at 45% about a month ago. Been logging well and eating within range of calories and exercising consistently. How much do you estimate I could have lost by now? I will be weighing in on the 4th of October. Thanks

I used a body fat calculator that based its results on waist and hip measurements, and I'm very skeptical about its accuracy. My hips got significantly wider after three babies, even once I'd lost all the baby weight and then some, so I know it's a pelvic structure thing and not fat.

Plus I have friends who are visibly fatter than I am, but have narrow hips, so their body fat calculates lower. It doesn't make sense to me how this method can possibly be accurate.

    But anyway, 26%.

No idea. I'm 100 pounds overweight, so probably quite a bit. :D

I have no way to measure either, except my scale, and I wouldn't have bought it if I knew then what I learned here, that those bioimpedence scales are worthless.
