Maintenance is harder than losing it...

I’ve met my old goals and am now struggling to keep the results. Started using this app again because I found it to be vital to my success so far. Stopped using it and sorry I did. I still exercise about 5 times a week, but it’s not enough on its own anymore. I’ve gained back a few pounds but on a small frame of a short person, you can see the pounds easier. I wish you all luck and I’m hoping to connect with some of you!

I've read this time and time again after people meet their goals: Meet goals, celebrate, stop tracking and do so with the intention of maintaining. Unfortunately, for many of us, continuing to track our foods is the key to success in maintenance. Many return to their old lifestyle, whether gradually or right off the bat, especially when it comes to diet; when doing so, especially after a prolonged deficit, some are more "ravenous," and in combination with commonly underestimating calorie intake, weight gain isn't unusual. I've just come to accept tracking is a daily part of life, though I actually kind of enjoy it. And worse comes to worse, it's only 5 minutes out of my day.3

I've maintained for a couple of years now but kept using the app to do it. Eventually I will try not logging everything except for the macros I want to meet. But not sure if I'll ever quit using it completely.0

I'm ten years into maintenance, tracking/logging food for most of that time. It's the only thing that works. Otherwise I get portion creep. Some people don't log food and just keep a close eye on their body weight. That seems to work for them.3
