Hi all,
Am cutting carbs as part of a diet to shift a few pounds. I am not planning on going into ketosis. I just find carbs bloat me and lead to weight gain - big carbs like bread, rice, flour etc. not veges. Anyway for the last 7 days I have kept carbs below 90g daily and today I feel totally crap - fatigue, head dog, almost a bit feverish.. reads like keto flu but can it be with my carbs so high? On two days it was below 40g but otherwise 80-90.
Thanks for sharing your experiences, before I reach for the bread... it's calling my name!

Even with carbs at that level, you've likely dropped a decent amount of water weight, which may have thrown your sodium levels out of whack. Have something salty and see if you feel better.

Or, maybe you're actually coming down with something?

You may even want to add a salty cup of broth. That tends to help get one closer to the 3000+ mg of sodium needed per day.

I tend to add a teaspoon of salt to water everyday. I don't salt my food enough to get over 3000mg otherwise.

i have been doing the Keto way of eating for 3 weeks - down 9.6 lbs and feel great. Not quite into Ketosis yet, last time I checked it was past trace. But I find this woe very easy to follow. I was at 2 different functions over the past 2 weeks with so much sweets, and chips and pretzels available right in front of me. Not once did I feel like having any. No cravings at all. I keep my carbs around 20g or 5% and Fats around 65 % with protein around 30% or 115 grams. The macros on my fitness pal help a lot in planning my meals. The key is PLANNING the night before. I never had the keto flu symptoms. I do drink a lot of water during the day and one large water with MIO sport to get in the electrolytes. Anyone else feel this way?
