Does anyone know any low fat, low calorie, low sodium foods to eat for snacks? I would really appreciate the help. Thanks in advance.

    hmm, airpopped popcorn, yogart, lite Hostess cupcakes, lite Hostes twinkies, and of the 100 calories items, of course fruit, I buy string cheese, chicken breast, (I eat allthe time for snacks, I cook several and keep in fridge), smoothie, with milk, yogart, fruit, a glass of choc milk, you can buy lower fat ones

    Some things I eat that are low sodium are Kashi bars and sea salt almonds.I have been staying under my sodium levels since switching to these sort of snacks versus chips and other junk foods.Good Luck girl!! I hope this helps

    I eat the quacker rice cakes for a snack. They are really great.

    thanks, I am not a big fruit fan but I have been eating more since I started on here. I love the rice cakes.

    I would challenge you to add a fruit or veggie to every snack time. When I began here in June, I did not eat 1 pc of fruit or 1 veggie at all.....I hated fruit:noway: Yes I swear it gagged me!

    I love it now! Today I ate

    banana for breakfast
    apple slices for snack
    zuchini and yellow squash for lunch
    strawberries for snack
    huge salad for dinner

    It can be done. Just add something each day and before you know it you too will be eating fruits as a regular part of your diet!!

    I would challenge you to add a fruit or veggie to every snack time. When I began here in June, I did not eat 1 pc of fruit or 1 veggie at all.....I hated fruit:noway: Yes I swear it gagged me!

    I love it now! Today I ate

    thanks, I am like that sometimes with fruit but I love all kinds of veggies. I am trying to eat more fruit instead of all the 100 calorie stuff like cheez it's and cookies and stuff like that.

    You're awesome and your body thinks so also! Have you tried grilling some of your fresh veggies? A whole new taste comes out. I grill onions, garlic, fresh asparagus, egg plant, tomatoes... Spray grill with Pam or something first or use a grill pan, fish rack.. Prevents sticking and veggies falling thru the racks. I make kabobs all year long. All veggies or I add chicken, lean steak, shrimp etc... Best of luck to everyone on their weight loss journey and feeling our best! :wink: :flowerforyou: :drinker: :smile:

    I just tried grilled zuchs and squash last night! I have a George Foreman Grill.
    I cut the veggies in 4 long wise, sprayed with EVOO, sprinkled with garlic powder and light salt.
    Threw them on GFG and 4 min later YUMMO!

    My daughter was here with a friend so they had some too. So much fun to share good food with young ppl!

    * Now I just got to dare to try fruit on the grill. Bobby F. does a lot on the Food network. I'm going to try peaches and nectarines when they come in season.. Glad you shared with your daughter. I always ate healthy when I was young... I just eat too much! Oh, and then there is chocolate... :wink:

    Jeanie, I'll take that challenge. My prob is not enough veggies. I started to drink them! Oasis veggie cocktail-awesome!!! Just had veggies and dip for snack and a yoplait ff yogurt-mango vanilla. Tastes like a creamcycle. I'm gonna freeze some containes for a icecreamy snack!!:happy:
