im planning to work out 5 days a week and have 2 rest days, is it okay to have 2 rest days together ?

thought it might stop me getting fit or slow down the process as read somewhere that its better to take them non consecutive0

No, it is fine to take them together. Some people like the weekend off, for example, and all other things being equal, doing it that way vs. taking off on Wednesday and Saturday won't make a difference.0

It would be most beneficial to schedule your the highest intensity day right before the two consecutive rest days so you get the most efficient recovery.1

My version of a rest day is spending 3+ hours doing yard work.0
