I just did my first push up! I was 130kgs before now I'm 93kg and I just did my first full push up. No more knee push ups. My problem now is how to increase my number of push ups.

You can do it! Build a couple every day. I'm so excited for you!!!!!!!!!4

Hooray. Try and do the odd one throughout the day for a couple of days, then throw in a negative, then before you know it you will be at 2, then 4, then 6, and before you know it you will be doing sets.
Cheers, h.7 -
Yep^^ Do one push-up three times a day. Then five times a day. Then maybe you do two push-ups in a row. Then two, three times a day. Rinse and repeat.11

Google 30 day push up challenge and you'll find all sorts of schedules that will help you gradually increase your push ups. Great job! Push ups are tough. It's taken me almost a year to get to 5 full push ups! I started with wall push-ups! Keep up the great work3

Good for you!! There are tons of different programs out there but just do what works for you. I found that I increased my pushups by doing a pushup hold. Its almost like doing a pushup and a plank in one movement. Hold either at the top of the pushup or at the bottom with your body as close to the floor without touching the floor as long as you can. Once you hit failure rest for 30 seconds to 1 minute and repeat. Best of luck and congrats!!

Update: I made it to max 8 push ups. But now I'm struggling. My shoulder hurts by just doing 1 push up. I already took a day off. And whenever I do the push up position my arms to my shoulders hurt.0

If it's causing you pain please stop congrats on what you started. It may be good to take a break now, and focus on maybe walking more, and other forms of working out that doesn't cause you pain. Good luck!!2 -

Hurt is okay if you mean you feel it in your muscle after for a bit, But it should be a general awareness of the muscle maybe a little weak and achy but not pain. If its pain that is either stabbing or shooting or seems to be in one direct spot you can pinpoint...stop and take a break.
Great job though0 -
Congratulations! It's okay to take rest days, that's when your muscles repair.
Is the pain in the shoulder joint or in the muscles? If it's in the joint itself, check your form to be sure you're doing the push ups correctly. A lot of people do them wrong.2 -

I lay on the ground, Struggle to push up once, and then go grab food. Im pretty sure i do it wrong LOL im proud of the OP XD1 -
So what I do is start with regular pushups and then drop to my knees once form starts to really suck. Over time the number of full pushups increases.0

I think its in the muscles. I can feel it also on my triceps. It was all good until this past few days.0 -

Are you working that same muscle group every day?
You may find it more beneficial to start doing the push ups alternate days and working opposing muscles on the off day. You may, this is dependant on the rest of your workout, be building a little bit of an imbalance.
Also, are you doing the 8 as one set? Try breaking them down to 2-3 sets with a 1min break in between.
Well done on your progress. , h.2 -
